Poll: Gobble Gobble ... It's Thanksgiving GAME DAY!
HAPPY THANKSGIVING!!!

We're thankful for THREE awesome football games today. How about you?

Be sure to thank your loved-ones for being there for you. Go ahead, give 'em a big hug.

After you've done that, don't forget to set your Fantasy Football line-up and make your Pick 'Em picks. Did we mention that there are THREE NFL games today???

Once that's done, we recommend (if it's not too cold out) that you grab a sister, brother, parent, aunt, uncle, cousin, and/or friend and go outside and play some football. It's tradition, you know.

Then settle-in for a great day of family, food, fun and NFL football.

HAPPY THANKSGIVING!!!

They're often furry, they're sometimes fierce, and they're always fun.

They're NFL team mascots!

But which mascot is this?

1. My favorite foods are Fried Falcon, Panther Stew, and Buccaneer Brownies.

2. My favorite movies are is All Dogs Go to Heaven and Beethoven.

3. My height is 9 Paws (that's 7 feet).

Tell us the mascot's name and its team!

Make sure to check back on Friday at 3PM EST when we'll reveal the true identity of this mascot. See if your guess was correct!

And in the meantime if you have not already started NFL RUSH Fantasy Football, it's not too late to get in the game. It's super fun, super fast, and super free!

Thanksgiving is one of the best days of the year, especially for football fans. We say thanks (sometimes for football), play football, and watch football. The only thing we don't do is eat football (except if you have a football cake, of course). This year, three compelling matchups are on the thanksgiving plate and will give us more reasons to give thanks.

Philadelphia Eagles (4-6) at Detroit Lions (3-7) Time: 12:30 ET Why the Eagles will win: The Eagles need a catalyst to turn around their season and this could be the game. Yes, they've encountered a rough patch, but the Lions are the worst team in the NFC and have a lot of question marks. The running game is unstoppable when DeMarco Murray, Ryan Mathews, and Darren Sproles are used correctly and brilliantly. In a game that pits an urgent Chip Kelly against Jim Caldwell, who is on his way out, Kelly will win this battle. Last year, the Eagles routed a Cowboys team that finished 12-4. Why the Lions will win: Philadelphia is crashing and the Lions will pounce on them. The two teams are going in opposite directions after the Lions started their franchise makeover. Detroit has pulled out upset wins over the Packers in Green Bay and against the rising Raiders. Ameer Abdullah can put on a show and Calvin Johnson is still in his prime, so the offense has the potential to put up numbers. The Eagles are without starter Sam Bradford and their defense was demolished by Tampa Bay.

Player of the Game Prediction: DeMarco Murray, Philadelphia Eagles

Carolina Panthers (10-0) at Dallas Cowboys (3-7) Time: 4:30 ET Why the Panthers will win: They're 10-0. Carolina has won its last 14 regular season games and is at the top of the NFL. The defense, led by Luke Kuechly and Thomas Davis and infused by Kawann Short and Josh Norman, is the best in the NFC. Cam Newton is an MVP candidate and the combination of him and a healthy Jonathan Stewart makes for a dominant run game. The Panthers are coming off a 44-16 beatdown of another NFC East team, the Redskins. If this game becomes a slugfest, Carolina is in control. I'm also not sold that Tony Romo is at 100% and a short week will expose that more. Why the Cowboys will win: Dallas comes off a much-needed victory over Miami and, now that Tony Romo is back, the Boys have the playoffs in mind. Darren McFadden is having a monster season behind the elite offensive line and the quartet of Romo, McFadden, Dez Bryant, and the O-Line presents a challenge for the Panthers. The Cowboys defense is underrated (top 15 in passing, rushing, and total yards allowed) and can force Newton into mistakes.

Player of the Game Prediction: Thomas Davis, Carolina Panthers

Chicago Bears (4-6) at Green Bay Packers (7-3) Time: 8:30 ET Why the Bears will win: As the Lions proved two weeks ago, the Packers aren't invincible, even to weaker divisional rivals. Jay Cutler is producing and running back Jeremy Langford is filling in well in the place of Matt Forte. If Alshon Jeffery is healthy, he could make big plays. Their strength, the pass defense, is the fourth best in the NFL. The Bears won't be scared of the Packers. Why the Packers will win: Green Bay got back on track with their victory over the Vikings, and when the Packers get going, they are impossible to stop. Eddie Lacy made plays last week on the ground and his poor performance early in the season was the biggest reason that the Packers struggled. With Lacy on a roll and Aaron Rodgers under center, the offense can take advantage of a Chicago defense that allows over 25 points per game. Green Bay's defense shut down Adrian Peterson and the Vikings and ranks 8th in the league in points allowed. Players of the Game Prediction: Eddie Lacy and Clay Matthews, Green Bay Packers

Poll: Traditions Tourney - Lions vs. Packers

Which NFL team has THE best tradition???

All summer long we are creating match-ups for NFL team traditions, tournament style, and YOU get to vote for the winners.

Today's match-up: Detroit Lions vs. Green Bay Packers

Lions Tradition: In 1934, G.A. Richards, the first owner of the Detroit Lions, came up with an idea that would change American sports culture forever -- Thanksgiving Day football! Ironically, the Lions opponent for the first game was the Chicago Bears.

Packers Tradition: At all Green Bay home games, after a Packer player scores a touchdown, he runs to the end zone stands and jumps into the arms of the fans. This celebration is affectionately known as the "Lambeau Leap".

The tradition with the most votes by next Monday shall be declared the winner and advance in the tournament.

Bears Tradition: Time out? During Bears home games whenever the PA announcer says, "There's a timeout," the crowd asks in unison, "Where?" The PA announcer says, "On the field." The crowd says, "Ohhhhh." This might be the funniest tradition yet.

Bert, your underdog-picking wonder dog, here.

Thanksgiving was good to me. Two out of my three bird picks won! Plus my humans had an extra piece of pumpkin pie for me. Woof!

This week I have some scary picks, so scary I am preparing to hide my eyes! But you know what they say, "If you can't run with the big dogs, get up your butt up on the porch!" This week I'm running with them.

Get ready for some action!

Indianapolis Colts vs Cleveland Browns - Let the big dawg eat! The Browns are going to surprise the Colts in Cleveland. Mark my barks, there will be extra doggie treats for Chomps on Sunday!

New York Jets vs Minnesota Vikings - This is why I'm hiding behind my pillow! But here's my thought. The Jets are going to get one more win this year and it might as well be in the land of 1,000 lakes.

New York Giants vs Tennessee Titans - I know what you're thinking: this crazy pooch is picking BOTH New York teams to win in the SAME week? That's just crazy! Crazy like a fox, er, hound, I like to say. GO GIANTS!

Huge football week. Take your dogs for a nice walk and don't forget to hit NFL RUSH Pick Em and make your picks too! NFL RUSH Pick Em and make your picks too!

Bert's Tally:
Last Week: 2-1
Season: 17-19

Poll: How do you like to go out and play?

Over the Thanksgiving holiday, while you were eating turkey with your family, we added a couple pretty cool new features to the NFL PLAY 60 site.

After asking over 100 NFL players to tell us what they do when they go out to play, we created a shout board that lets you tell the world which of their activities, are also some of your faves. Cool, huh?

But why read about it when you going be busy doing it? Go to the NFL PLAY 60 and get you click on!

While you are there you can also check out the brand new NFL PLAY 60 videos featuring Matthew Stafford, DeMarco Murray, Eric Reid, Kyle Wilson and Jordan Mills!

The QB hands you the ball and, all of a sudden, eleven huge, fast guys are trying to smash you. That's the life of an NFL running back.

But you know what the best do? They smash back. They dance. They juke. They run really, really fast. And sometimes they break off incredible runs.

Check out the top 5, including the Philadelphia Eagles LeSean McCoy's Thanksgiving scamper against the Cowboys.

Which run do you think is best?

Poll: Who should be the Jets starting QB in 2015?

The Dolphins escaped the Jets upset bid and remained in the playoff hunt thanks to the running of Lamar Miller (12 fantasy points).

Sunday Night Football

Denver Broncos 29 - Kansas City Chiefs 16
On a cold and windy night in Kansas City, Broncos RB C.J. Anderson (24 fantasy points) put the team on his back, rushing for 168 yards and catching one of Peyton Manning's (12 fantasy points) two TD passes.

Late Games

Green Bay Packers 26 - New England Patriots 21
In a clash of NFL titans, Aaron Rodgers (24 fantasy points) showed why he's considered one of the top players in the game today. His 364 yards passing and two TDs led the Packers to a statement win over the Patriots. As he always does, Tom Brady (17 fantasy points) found a way to keep New England within striking distance until the very end.

Atlanta Falcons 29 - Arizona Cardinals 18
The unstoppable Julio Jones (24 fantasy points) led the Falcons to a surprising win over the Cardinals. The win kept the Falcons in a first-place tie in the NFC South with New Orleans.

Drew Brees (32 fantasy points) cranked out five TD passes and WR Kenny Stills (22 fantasy points) had 162 yards receiving as they Saints held off a furious late rally by the Steelers for the impressive road victory. Steelers RB Le'Veon Bell (31 fantasy points) was amazing in a losing effort.

St. Louis Rams 52 - Oakland Raiders 0
Rookie WR Tre Mason (34 fantasy points), QB Shaun Hill (21 fantasy points) and the Rams defense (32 fantasy points) all had dominating performances against the one-win Raiders.

Indianapolis Colts 49 - Washington Redskins 27
Andrew Luck (30 fantasy points) fired off five TD passes and rookie WR Donte Moncrief (26 fantasy points) emerged as another threat for the Colts offensive machine.

Houston Texans 45 - Tennessee Titans 21

Buffalo Bills 26 - Cleveland Browns 10

Thanksgiving

Seattle Seahawks 19 - San Francisco 49ers 3

Philadelphia Eagles 33 - Dallas Cowboys 10
It seems only natural that on the national day of turkeys, a team of Eagles would soar to victory. QB Mark Sanchez (21 fantasy points) continued his amazing resurgence under offensive wizard Chip Kelly, and WRs Jordan Matthews (11 fantasy points) and Jeremy Maclin (11 fantasy points) zoomed through the Cowboys secondary like early arrivers at a black Friday sale.

Detroit Lions 34 - Chicago Bears 17
Calvin Johnson (26 fantasy points), Matthew Stafford (21 fantasy points) and Joique Bell (17 fantasy points) might be too full to have their holiday meal after they feasted on the Bears. The only happy Chicago fans today are the ones who had WR Alshon Jeffery (19 fantasy points) in their fantasy football line-up.

As a whole the Thanksgiving football games were a disappointment for fans. The scores were 34-17, 33-10, and 19-3. The games were supposed to be close, intense match-ups, but they ended up being blowouts. The key players were LeSean McCoy, Calvin Johnson, and Russell Wilson. Theses players all helped their teams secure big victories. I was very surprised that the Eagles blew out the Cowboys. The Cowboys played at home which is an advantage, and have been playing strong at this point in the season, so I expected them to win the game. The Cowboys struggled running the football and this led to difficulties throwing the football later in the game. The Eagles surprised me by playing so well, especially Mark Sanchez who was very impressive at quarterback. I wish the games on Thanksgiving had been closer, but it was still fun to watch them.
