Poll: In which PPK competition would you perform better?
Long before Colin Kaepernick became the star quarterback for the San Francisco 49ers, he was a kid who simply loved football. Throwing it, kicking it, running it's football was just fun for young "Kap.".

Colin began playing youth football at age eight, starting off as a defensive end and punter. It did not take long for Colin to find his natural position, becoming his team's starting quarterback at age nine and completing his first competitive pass for a long touchdown.

His next stop? NFL Punt Pass & Kick competition, where he won several events mainly due to his stellar passing ability.

Think the 49ers were scouting him as a 9 year-old??? What about you? Do you like throwing and kicking the pigskin? Then you might like doing a Punt, Pass and Kick competition.

Check it out at NFL PPK.

I play numerous sports such as football, baseball, basketball, track and swimming. My family is very active in sports so I am at the park or at the gym at least 5 days out of the week. Exercising while doing various sports keeps me on my toes and that is how I Play 60.

My favorite football tradition is the Punt, Pass and Kick competition. It has been going on for more than 50 years! Some NFL greats, like Brett Favre, competed in it. 40 FINALISTS COMPETE IN NFL PUNT, PASS AND KICK NATIONAL FINALS IN ATLANTA

Forty young football players from around the country competed in the NFL PUNT, PASS AND KICK National Finals on January 15, prior to the NFC Divisional Playoff Game in Atlanta. A special on-field award presentation aired after the third quarter of the game on FOX.

Finalists competed separately in five age divisions in the Georgia Dome, with the top scorer in each group crowned national champion. All participants launched one punt, one pass and one kick, with scores based on distance and accuracy (in feet).

Joshua's Punt, Pass & Kick Highlights

PPK is the best football trainer out there. It teaches you about sportsmanship and concentration. My cousin, Frankie, is the person that has helped me learn how to Punt, Pass and Kick. My little cousin, Breanna, has also competed and will attend Team Championships to compete with me on December 6th. Through this program, I got to compete at the National Level in North Carolina last year. I also got to be the Honorary Coin Toss Captain at the Brown's preseason game this Fall.

Adrian Peterson

On Monday, about 50 Special Olympics Minnesota Athletes joined Adrian Peterson, Vikings Head Coach Brad Childress and many other Viking players on the Vikings practice field for a Punt, Pass and Kick Clinic. After watching the morning workout, the Special Olympics athletes met the Vikings players for a chance to talk with some of the superstars. They then took the field and got some pointers on their Punt, Pass and Kick techniques. Adrian Peterson made sure to have a moment with each athlete to share some of his football expertise and to commend them on their dedication to sports. The Special Olympics Minnesota celebrates 35 years of champions in 2008 and the Vikings are proud to continue their ongoing relationship with them.
