Wedding bells ring for Ash's dad, but Sudden Death wants a different kind of ring, from the Super Bowl! It's up to the Guardians, St. Louis Rams James Laurinaitis and New Orleans Saints Marques Colston, to save the big day.
"NFL RUSH ZONE: Guardians Unleashed"Wednesdays at 9:30 pm on Nicktoons!
Both the Rams and the 49ers need a win in this HUGE Thursday Night Football game. Both teams have lost their last two games. Both offenses are struggling. Both need to turn their season around.
And both teams have plenty of stars to battle it out. Sam Bradford vs. Colin Kaepernick. Chris Givens vs. Anquan Boldin. James Laurinaitis vs. Patrick Willis.
It's going to be AWESOME!
Find out which team gets their season back on track tonight starting at 8:25 PM ET on NFL Network!
Ricky isn't too happy to attend his cousin Jason's National Martial Arts competition in Akron. But he learns the value of family when Jason gives Ricky (and all the Guardians) some ninja lessons that help them to recover the Dolphins' stolen Megacore.
Dolphins DE Cameron Wake and Rams LB James Laurinaitis pitch in to help. Meanwhile, Drop Kick is working on a scheme of his own that Wild Card knows nothing about.
NFL Rush Zone: Season of the Guardians, airs Sundays at 11:00 a.m. (ET) on Nicktoons.
1. Sam I Am
Sam Bradford impressed last season and has all the tools to become one of the top passers in the league.
2. The Beast
Steven Jackson aka “Beast” is one of the most imposing rushers in the league.
3. The Animal
LB James Laurinaitis, son of wrestling legend Joe “Animal” Laurinaitis, leads an improving defensive squad.
4. Deep Threat
New WR Brandon Lloyd adds a potent new weapon to the Rams's passing attack.
5. Midwest Magic
Two of last three champions have come out of the Midwest - St. Louis could be next!
Do you think the Rams can take it all the way to the Super Bowl? Have a reason we missed? Leave a comment and let us know!
Now, I will look at the teams in the NFL Draft this year and analyze what positions they need to improve to get better. Also, I will look at whether or not these teams can get what they need in the draft. I will start at number 1, the St. Louis Rams, and go up to number 32, the New Orleans Saints (not all in this article, though. My laptop would probably explode if I did that. . .)
Pick number one: St. Louis Rams
Last year's record: 1-15
Analysis: For the Rams, there's nowhere to go but up! They actually have some pretty good players; a decent QB (Mark Bulger), a great RB (Steven Jackson), a solid receiver (Donnie Avery) and a good young linebacker (James Laurinaitis). So . . . here's what I think they need:
Positions needed: OL, DL, CB and S
Pick number two: Detroit Lions
Last year's record: 2-14
Analysis: The Lions have had a pick in the top ten for the last 7 out of 10 years, but it hasn't seemed to have helped them much. Most of those players either didn't work out (Charles Rogers), were traded (Roy Williams) or are still developing (Matthew Stafford and Calvin Johnson). For Detroit, the problems seem to start on the defensive side of the ball. That's why they need. . .
Positions Needed: OL, DL, LB and S
Pick number three: Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Last year's record: 3-13
Analysis: Far removed from the team that almost made the playoffs in 2008, or that won the Super Bowl in 2002, this team is lacking veteran leadership (case in point: there are only 3 players on their current roster that have played in the league more than 10 years) especially on the offensive side of the ball. So, they need. . .
Positions Needed: WR, OL, LB, RB and TE
Pick number four: Washington Redskins
Last year's record: 4-12
Positions Needed: S, QB, and FB
Pick number five: Kansas City Chiefs
Last year's record: 4-12
Analysis: Kansas City has the leadership to become an above .500 team. With players like Matt Cassel and Mike Vrabel, the Chiefs could be back on their way up in a few years. Unfortunately for them, in the AFC West, two teams like Denver and San Diego could keep Kansas City out of the playoffs for a while. There is one thing I like about them: they have my name (KC) in their logo!
Positions Needed: CB, DL, OL and TE
See you later!

James Laurinaitis was in the NFLRZ chatting with all you awesome fans on Tuesday, June 9th! He answered questions from some lucky users including telling us about the best day of his life when he was drafted 35th overall to the St. Louis Rams. When asked what else he likes to do when he’s not playing football, James said, “I like to read books, play video games and I like to eat!”
After the chat James went out in the NFLRZ with his avatar to meet everyone. He played challenges, gave hi-fives and even added some fans to his buddy list. James had a great time and so did the many users that came out to meet this rising superstar. If you missed James, don’t worry because another NFL star will be popping up in the NFLRZ soon.
If you missed it, here's a sample of some of the questions and answers:
froggy: how old were you when you started playing football?
James Laurinaitis: I started playing football in 4th grade. My dad was my coach and playing football with my buddies was the best.
legend1024: Why did you pick football?
James Laurinaitis: I played a few different sports. I played football, baseball and hockey. Football was my favorite and I always had a passion for it.
joshua: Who is your favorite super hero?
James Laurinaitis: I think batman does it for me. Growing up i had the toys like the batmobile. He's still my favorite.
championt: What's your middle name?
James Laurinaitis: Richard
ludacris5000: will u give us pigskins
James Laurinaitis: You'll have to challenge me later and earn them.
wrr2cool: what is the best moment in your life
James Laurinaitis: Getting drafted. Getting the phone call from an NFL team has been my dream. It's the best I could have asked for.
allstarvip: how many pushups can you do?
James Laurinaitis: I'd say probably over 100.
The 35th overall pick of the 2009 NFL Draft, James Laurinaitis, will be in the NFLRush Zone Press room on Tuesday, June 9th at 7:00 PM ET. James is a 3-time college All-American linebacker from Ohio State University and was drafted by the St. Louis Rams in April. James is known for his hard hits and leadership on the field. Think up some questions and get ready to meet James Laurinaitis on Tuesday, June 9th at 7:00 PM ET only in the NFLRush Zone!
I am sorry for the long wait of my new blog entry but, I'm back! The last month has been very exciting and full of events that left me on the edge of my seat. First, Drew Brees sent me one of his very own jerseys!!! Not only that but, it was autographed by him too!! That's not the best part either. He said that I am a great young man with a bright future!! I nearly fainted I was so excited!! Now, it's time to talk about the NFL's headlines. The Jaguars signed a deal with Torry Holt! This is a guy the Jaguars really needed since their wide receivers weren't the best. So, having a wide receiver with his talent will help David Garrard lead his team to a winning record. Out of Kansas City, Matt Cassel had a great season being a starter for the Patriots after Tom Brady's injury. He proved that he deserved a starting job. Of course, the Patriots weren't just going to sit Tom Brady on the bench though, so Matt Cassel is now the starting QB for the Chiefs! I am happy with this trade because he is a great QB and will have a great future in the NFL. Now I am going to give you my own opinion of the upcoming NFL draft. Here are my rankings:
