I hope that you are all having a wonderful summer so far. I wanted to share my fool-proof plan to stay fit this summer. I call it the "The Two Minute Fit Plan."
What I'm doing now is mowing the lawn, and other labor extensive chores. I play football with my family every night. In a few weeks I will be starting my school's football program while training to be the team's center.
To adapt this plan to your lifestyle, simply find something that you can do around the house (e.g. mowing the lawn). Play around with your family, and or, friends by throwing a ball, playing catch, or going for walks. Next, sign up for a class or sport at your local community recreation center. They usually have great programs that let you have fun while working up a good sweat.
Be sure to also check out the NFL PLAY 60 website. It has some great information and tips to help you.
So while you have a great summer don't forget to take two minutes to follow this plan, and have a healthy summer.
I'd love to hear from you. Tell me how you plan on staying fit this summer and exercising in the comments.
By now most of you have probably heard of Johnny Manziel. Some other people may recognize him as his trademark: Johnny Football or The House That Johnny Built. You know that this man is going to go far. Though, some might say he has too big a house for his health. I still think that he will go really far in his NFL career. You just have to look at his Wonderlic score, a 32!!! The highest ever recorded Wonderlic score was a 40! So, just by looking at this you can tell he will be great!!! I think that the Houston Texans should draft him and then trade. They really don't need him. They need Clowney or anther D player to join the Watt. One of the only downsides to Manziel is that he is really small, and there are questions in regards to if he can take the hits in the NFL. Overall, I think that he will make it really far in the NFL.
As most of you already know the Redskins did not really play good last year, but we could blame this on Mike Shanahan (Ex-Head Coach of the Redskins). The Redskins were supposed to get a #2 overall pick in the draft, but due to getting RGIII they will have to fork this over to the Rams. But, guess what? The Redskins signed Desean Jackson so as NFL NETWORK said "it is almost like they got that draft spot back." And you know what, it actually might turn out to be that way. But, one of the things that the Redskins need to improve on is having bigger and bulkier offensive line. One of the specific players that we may get is a tackle form Alabama. Well, it looks like all our lines need work including the Defensive and Offensive positions. One of the areas that that Washington greatly struggles in is the Defense. So, when we come to the end of it we ask ourselves if this equation is true or false: Draft + Redskins = A Good Next Season?

As you might have seen last year the Redskins DID NOT play well at all. This year what the Redskins need is a playoff berth to just send hope throughout the organization and hopefully continue it.
Since, RGII got crushed last year in the pocket, we will need some hard hitting O-Line. We have a good receiver: Pierre Garcon, but we need more of these types. We used to have London Fletcher (my favorite player), but since he retired we will need a couple of good linebackers. We have horrible safetyso we should invest in a couple more to make our lowly ranked defense higher (hopefully).
These are what we will need to hopefully get a playoff berth. I will like to see Johnny Manziel in the combine, we'll see if is just another great college football player, but a not so good NFL player.
Then NFL has fired and hired many staff members this off-season. My favorite team, The Washington Redskins, hired a new head coach, Jay Gruden. Before he was a head coach he was the offensive coordinator for The Cincinnati Bengals. I am sort of looking forward to what this coach may bring to the table. The only thing that may concerns me is the way that the Bengals played in the wildcard game against the San Diego Chargers. The score ending up being 10-27. What I do like though, is that he has no doubt that RGIII will be the starter. Overall, I think that this will be a positive improvement for the Redskins organization.
This week the 13-3 Broncos take on the 10-7 Chargers. Despite, the difference in stats and all the talk going on around the league I believe that the San Diego Chargers will win this game. This is simply because the Chargers have the momentum and fans (the city is going crazy) to win the game. Another one of the advantages that the Chargers have is that the Chargers head coach used to be the Broncos offensive coordinator. Even though this game will be played at Mile High, I predict that there will be more Chargers jerseys than expected.
Since, the Broncos recently just had a bye week, they may be a little sleepy and get a huge wake-up call from San Diego. As most of us know an offensive coordinator cannot change a whole lot in one or two years, because of this the Chargers know some of the Denver Broncos secrets. Even though, all the talk is against what I am saying. Go Chargers!
This week in critical Do or Die situation the Cowboys will be playing the Eagles. The Cowboys (8-7) and the Eagles (9-6) will be fighting for a first place in the NFC East.
It isn't looking good for the Cowboys because their QB, Tony Romo, is injured! So, instead of Romo, their backup, Kyle Orton, will be playing. He say limited playing time last game in a loss to the Chicago Bears (28-45). Unlike Romo, I don't think that Orton will be able to pull it together in the end of the game for a win. I do think that Eagles' high-powered O from Sunday will be able to pull together for a win. With the NFL's #1 RB (LeSean McCoy), I think that they will bring in a lot of 6s in such a critical game. I overall think that the Eagles will win this game, maybe not by a lot, but still win it.
Last week the Saints beat the Panthers in a surprising win: 31-13. This was the game that was going to determine the first place in NFC South. This makes the Panthers seem weak and easy to beat. Despite their stats and record, this looks bad for the Panthers. Some people might think the Panthers luck has worn off, but I think it was just a off-week.
Some people are also wondering about the Saints. Are the Saints still a strong team after their bad loss against Seattle? I believe that the Saints are still a strong, team most teams lose against the Seahawks so I don't think that this really affected them. I don't think that anybody will turn into Seattle during the playoffs, but anything can happen, right? Were you surprised that the Saints won this game so easily?
This Sunday two 9-3 teams will face each other for first place. The two teams are the Carolina Panthers and the New Orleans Saints. According to stats, the Saints should have this game in the bag. But, the place where the Panthers are going to dominate in is the running game. Even though the stats say that the Saints will win I am going to go with a Panthers win. This is simply because Cam Newton can get out of his throwing position and run the ball to get away. But, in order for the Saints to win they will have to hit Cam Newton...HARD. The Saints defense will also have to stop the Panthers running game. In order for the Panthers to win this game they will have to focus more on Newton's throwing game and also hit Brees, hard too. This sounds like a good game to watch and to see. Who do you think will win?
Last week, two great QBs played against each other. This rivalry itself is a big thing, but when the temperature is 20 degrees and the winds are MPH is 20, you look at a difficult game. According to stats the better player of the game was Tom Brady. To be honest, I thought the better QB was Peyton Manning and that the Broncos would win. But, if you saw the game or if you saw the highlights in the beginning you would have probably thought the same as me.
In the third quarter it was 24-0, with the Broncos winning. In this game there was something that everybody could predict: FUMBLES! This was a huge issue for the Patriots in the opening quarter. One of the backs for the Patriots is facing the dangers of losing his position because he has fumbled the ball three times in a row. The Broncos get their first seven on defense. When you thought it couldn't get any worse for the Patriots it does. What you might have thought to be a sack turns out to a fumble. One of the Broncos ends up getting the ball and running it to the Patriots ten. This leads to another touchdown for the Broncos.
Another one of the Patriots fumbles it again. The Broncos get the ball at the Patriots 40. Luckily, for the Patriots the Broncos only get a field goal out of this. After this, the Broncos get another touchdown! At the half it is 24-0!!!
In the third the Patriots finally get a touchdown. Now it's the Broncos turn to fumble it. Peyton hands it to one of the Broncos backs and the ball pops out and the Patriots recover after a fight for the ball. The Patriots end up scoring again. This makes the score 24-14 with the Broncos still in the lead.
Then Peyton fumbles the ball and recovers it making it a ten yard sack. Next the Patriots throw a 43 yard long bomb, this leads to a Patriot touchdown. Next Broncos possession Manning ends up throwing a interception due to a bad dissection. The Patriots end up getting yet another touchdown due to the interception. The Broncos make a incomplete pass on what should have been an interception. Another "should have been" play occurs when Brady throws the ball in the endzone for what should have been a touchdown. Another interception occurs, but there is a flag on the play! Apparently the interceptor held the receiver. The Broncos get another touchdown which makes the score 31-31!
Now the game is in overtime!!! The Patriots punt the ball and the punt receiver calls the ice/fire/poison call and one of the Broncos touches it. The Patriots recover the ball. The Patriots kick the ball and get a field goal to win a game! This makes the game one of the best comebacks ever!!!
This weekend a big game is coming up, the New England Patriots will play the Denver Broncos. This will be a big showdown, but if Peyton and Tom were going head to head, Manning is better. In the NFL quarterbacks are a big factor, so this will be a major factor in the upcoming game. Looking at the numbers you'll foretell a hard fought game, and another Broncos victory. But, don't lose hope Patriots fans last during the same matchup the Patriots won. Another thing you can predict in this game is a lot of turnovers. So, don't forget to see one of the best match ups of the week.
A team that has lost 8 games in their season and is arguably worst in the League, beat the Tennessee Titans.
The Jacksonville Jaguars beat the Titans in an upset game. But of you look at the Titans and how they lost, it will have been logical for the Jaguars to win. First of all there were so many mistakes and turnovers in that game. Another cause could be that the Titans were too sure of themselves. Their quarterback got hurt in the middle of the game and didn't come back. The Titans were also in their endzone and one of their linemen held and caused them a SAFETY! When they tried to recover the onside kick, they don't and end up giving the ball to the Jags at the fifty! Another thing that happened was that their backup QB ended up getting stripped for a touchdown!!! Their were so many mistakes on the Titans that caused them to lose the game. This for me was the biggest upset of the week.
Do you think this was the biggest upset of Week 10?
Post your opinion.
Now if you were to look at records and player stats this season, the Chargers should've, could've, would've won their game in Washington. But if you were watching the game on CBS, you would have seen a hard fought game.
In the second quarter it was a nail-biter for Washington, San Diego was winning 14-7. Then in the third each team would be going crazy because it was tied, this went on until the final whistle of the 4 quarter. The Chargers were blocking just about everything kicked or thrown near them.
In the beginning the Charger's D was taking over O. They swatted and intercepted the ball in the endzone for a defensive touchdown. In 3rd and 9 RGIII does something amazing that could really have injured him. In his postgame press conference, he said that he put his wings on to fly (LOL). He kept it and ran/flipped for a first down. Bad luck strikes for the 'Skins, or does it? The Chargers score a touchdown, but the ball doesn't go over the pylon the foot moves it down. So then, the touchdown was reversed. The games stays tied and then in the end in overtime the Redskins put up 6 and win it: 30-24.
