The highlight of the game goes to quarterback Big Ben, who looked sharp as ever with some accurate throws and back field scrambling. Tight end Heath Miller had some crucial
catches for first downs.

The lowpoint of the game was an interception by Tracy Porter that was ran back for a touchdown. That play ended the Steelers' hopes for a victory.

The Steelers' defense I felt was sub par. They had a lot of blown coverages and at times looked confused. With an injury to linebacker James Harrison, we could have used his play making.

I am confident that the Steelers will rebound for this week's game against the Jets, as they will not start off 0-2!

Volleyball practice is 2 hours long and then I also have 1 hour of conditioning, twice a week. I have been playing volleyball since I was 6.

It is a sport that I play 10 months out of the year. I hope to one day play for a high school team and play for college.

Not only is staying active and conditioning a important part of being healthy but so is diet. So stay active, stay healthy and keep playing, Play 60.

Maintaining a healthy diet and enjoying the outdoors is a great way to PLAY 60. I have been very busy this past year with my travel volleyball team. I am closing out 7 months of fun and hard work this week by ending the season in Orlando at the AAU National Volleyball Championships. When this season is over I am going to continue to condition which consists of running hills, push-ups, planks, leg lifts, wall sits, and pull ups. When this season is over I am going to continue to condition which consists of running hills, push-ups, planks, leg lifts, wall sits, and pull ups.

Even more important is eating a healthy diet as I continue to work on my upper body
strength as well as building muscle in my legs. Maintaining a healthy diet and enjoying the outdoors is a great way to PLAY 60.

The key to the Packers victory was the Steelers turnovers. The 3 turnovers (2 interceptions and 1 fumble) gave the Packers the edge by scoring 21 points. When you compare the numbers of Steelers’ quarterback Ben Roethlisberger and Packers’ quarterback Aaron Rodgers, they weren't that different.

Ben’s numbers were:

  • 40 att, 25 comp, yds 263, tds 2

Aaron's numbers were:

  • 39 att, 24 comp, yds 204, tds 3

Another key matchup was Steelers’ Mendenhall with 63 yds and 1 td vs. Packers’ Starks with 52 yds and 0 tds.

At one point, the Steelers were trailing by 3 but then the Mendenhall fumble in the 4th quarter gave the ball back to the Packers who then scored a touchdown.

The turnovers were critical but the points off the turnovers were the key to the Packers win.

I predict a physical game with both defenses playing well. My prediction for the team representing the NFC will be the Packers. The Packers will win 28-21.

The second game on Sunday consists of the AFC North’s Pittsburgh Steelers vs. the AFC East’s, New York Jets. Having met early in December, the Jets won by a field goal. I look forward to a physical game played by both defenses with an edge to the Steelers because of Troy Polamalu. Troy was hurt and didn't play when these teams last met. On offense, I give the edge to the Steelers because of Ben Roethlisberger. He is tough to bring down and he isn't afraid of throwing the ball down field. He is a fierce competitor. I give the edge to the Steelers. They will win by 6, 23-17. The Steelers and Packers are Super Bowl bound to play in Dallas on Sunday, February 6th.

In the second game on Saturday, the Packers face the Falcons. The Packers are playing some really good football, but I predict a Falcons win.

On Sunday, the first game is between the Bears and Seahawks. After the Seahawks shocked the NFL world, I am going to predict another upset with the Seahawks defeating the Bears. For the second game on Sunday, what another explosive match up with the Patriots vs. Jets. This is the third time that these two teams have met with each team winning once in the regular season. I predict that the Patriots will win. They are just too much for the Jets to handle.

No matter what NFL team you are rooting for, you have to admit that the Playoff games this weekend can't get any better than. ENJOY!

One has to wonder what happened to this year’s team. Was it the coaches, play calling, the mix of players on the team, or just overall team chemistry? Not to anger any Bengal fan, but I am sure you would agree with me that you are surprised, if not stunned with the 4-12 record. With Coach Lewis now on board for another year, he has more say in team decisions. I am sure that next year’s record will greatly improve. Good luck to the Cincinnati Bengals and their fans as they look forward to next year and all the great things to happen.

Poll. Who will win the 2011 Super Bowl?

The best game for Week 17 will be the Steelers vs. Browns in Cleveland. There is a lot at stake for the Steelers. If they win in Cleveland, the Steelers will clinch the division and a first round bye. A loss to the Browns and a win by the Ravens gives the Ravens the division. The 5-10 Browns have greatly improved this year and are not going to lie down and give the Steelers an easy game. This game is critical for the Steelers with a lot riding on it going into post season play.

Poll. Which team do you think has the best chance to win the 2011 Super Bowl?
Big Game for the Steelers!

This week's match up with the Ravens is a must win for the Steelers. Both teams are 8-3 and tied in their division. No matter which team has the home field advantage when these teams meet, there is no such thing as an advantage. Both teams seem to bring their best and it will be a very physical game. I predict a Steelers WIN!
There were many exciting games last week in the NFL. The Tampa Bay Buccaneers beat the St. Louis Rams in a last minute touchdown pass. Redskins' CB DeAngelo Hall picked off Bears' QB Jay Cutler 4 times and tied the NFL record. The Panthers got their first win of the season against the 49ers on a field goal. Lastly, the Raiders gave their all, and surprisingly destroyed the Broncos 59-14.

Despite all of the great games, I think the most exciting game of the week was the Cleveland Browns at the New Orleans Saints. The Browns had great special teams, with a 68 yard fake punt run by their punter, Reggie Hodges. Browns CB Eric Wright had a 62 yard punt return after a lateral by WR Joshua Cribbs. The Browns defense also picked off Drew Brees 4 times and only allowed the Saints offense to score 17 points. The biggest story of the game was Browns' LB David Bowens, who picked off Drew Brees twice and returned both for touchdowns. The Browns ended up beating the former Super Bowl champs, 30-17.

I think the most impressive receiver in the NFL after 4 weeks is Atlanta Falcons receiver, Roddy White. White is tied for second in the NFL with 32 receptions and is sixth in the NFL for receiving yards with 362. White has 2 TDs and is averaging about 90 yards receiving per game. The Falcons are 3-1 mostly because of White. In last week's game against the San Francisco 49ers, Matt Ryan's pass was intercepted by Nate Clements with 1:31 left in the game, Falcons losing 14-13. Roddy White did not give up on the play and chased Clements down the sideline, finally stripping the ball from him. The Falcons then recovered and a few plays later, the Falcons got into field goal range. Falcons' kicker, Matt Bryant, made a 43-yard field goal to win the game, 16-14. Atlanta will play Cleveland in Week 5 and I think that Roddy White will lead them to a victory for the Falcons' fourth straight win.

My favorite retired NFL player is Kurt Warner. In his NFL career, Warner player QB for several NFL teams. He has been named to the Pro Bowl five times and has been named Super Bowl and NFL MVP in his career. When Warner was on the St. Louis Rams, he and Marshall Faulk were considered the "The Greatest Show on Turf."  Warner also led the Arizona Cardinals to the Super Bowl in the 2008 season as an underdog, but they lost to the Pittsburgh Steelers. In the 2009 season the Cardinals advanced to the second round of the playoffs, but they lost to the New Orleans Saints. Warner was also named the Walter Payton Man of the Year in 2008.  After the 2009 season ended for the Cardinals, Kurt Warner announced his retirement. I think that Kurt Warner should be elected into the Pro Football Hall of Fame.

My early pick for Defensive Rookie of the Year is defensive back Eric Berry. Berry was drafted 5th overall in this year's draft out of the college, Tennessee by the Kansas City Chiefs.

Berry has great speed which will help him not allow receivers to get past him. Berry is also very tall for his position and could out jump smaller receivers to get an interception. Berry shows great leadership and has great blitzing ability. The Chiefs already have a decent defensive backfield, but with Berry their defensive backfield will produce more turnovers this year. Berry also had great vision of the field and can anticipate where the pass is going. Berry will definitely improve the Chiefs's defense with his leadership and talents in his rookie season.

[rotateframe seconds="30"]

My early favorite for Offensive Rookie of the Year is Dez Bryant. Bryant was drafted 24th overall in this year's draft and is now a wide receiver for the Dallas Cowboys.

The reasons I picked Bryant is because the Cowboys already have a great offense led by QB Tony Romo. Another reason is that Bryant has great hands and can make spectacular catches. Bryant is also very tall and fast and probably could use this to his advantage. Bryant could act like a younger Miles Austin on the Cowboys. Plus, the Cowboys need a decent #2 Wide Receiver.

The reasons I did not pick RB C.J. Spiller or QB Sam Bradford is because Buffalo already has two other decent RBs in Marshawn Lynch and Fred Jackson on their team and Spiller might have to split carries with them. Bradford, on the other hand, has a young offense in St. Louis that hasn't fully developed yet.

Paige's Rockin' Preview for Week 14!

My favorite team, the Philadelphia Eagles are playing the New York Giants this week. The last time the two teams played, the Eagles crushed the Giants 40-17. The Eagles defense did really well against the Falcons last week, but the Giants offense has been improving, beating the Dallas Cowboys last week 31-24. I think the Eagles will win, 35-31 because of their great talent at Wide Receiver and their great Pass Defense.

The team that I am most suprised by is the Cincinnati Bengals. The Bengals were 4-12 last year and now that they have QB Carson Palmer healthy and signed RB Cedric Benson, the Bengals are already 9-3.
