Minnesota Vikings Draft

The NFL Draft is right around the corner. A good draft could lead a team to a Super Bowl in the future. However, a poor draft could hurt a team's future. Who will the Vikings select when they are on the clock? I believe they should take Alabama wide receiver Amari Cooper.

Amari Cooper is, in my opinion, the best wide receiver in the draft, and could be a fantastic selection for the Vikings. After releasing Greg Jennings, they have a young, inexperienced, Charles Johnson as the second wide receiver on the depth chart. Amari Cooper has experience playing against many future-pro defensive backs in the SEC. Cooper helped lead Alabama to the BCS National Championship in his freshman season. As a junior, Cooper compiled over 1700 yards, and caught 16 touchdown passes, both school records. If he is available when the Vikings are on the clock, it would be tough to select anyone but Amari Cooper.

The Broncos have signed one of the best defensive players on the market in Aquib Talib. Talib had a truly outstanding season with the Patriots. He had 41 total tackles and a team-high of 4 interceptions. Talib's six year, 57 million dollar deal could prove to be the best free agent signing this off season.

The New Orleans Saints signed Jairus Byrd, one of the best safeties in the game, to a six year, 56 million dollar contract. Byrd has proven that he is a top-5 corner this year by having four interceptions, 37 tackles, and a forced fumble. Byrd could transform the New Orleans' defense into one of the best in the league.

Other players that are still free agents include Michael Vick, Ben Tate, and recently-released Darelle Revis. I would love it if the Vikings signed Vick, but either the Jets, Raiders, or Bills seem like a better fit. Ben Tate could be a great running back for the Browns or the Rams. Revis will likely be the highest paid defensive free agent this year. The Eagles or the Patriots could be a good fit for him.

This year's free agent class is one of the best in recent memory. Who do you think the best free agent of this year is? Comment!!

The Broncos have been the highest scoring offense in NFL history, but on the other side of the ball, the Seahawks have had the best defense in the NFL over the past two years. I am looking forward to seeing Denver's leading receiver Demaryus Thomas match up against Richard Sherman, the league leader in interceptions. Can Peyton Manning complete passes against the tough Seattle Legion of Boom?

There will be plenty of big plays and tremendous performances. I am predicting that Marshawn Lynch will have a big run in the fourth quarter. I also think that Peyton Manning will be the game MVP with 350 passing yards and 3 touchdowns.

The immovable object vs the unstoppable force. Which team do you think will win? Who will win MVP? Be sure to leave a comment!

In two games this year, the Seahawks put a beating on the Niners. However, the 49ers refused to be beat again, winning on the road 19-17. Which team will capture the season series?

The 49ers and Seahawks will deliver one of the best games of the year. Which team will win? Comment and be sure to watch the Seattle Seahawks play the San Francisco 49ers in the NFC Championship Sunday at 5:30 CT on FOX!

Kid Reporter: Off-Season Moves the Vikings Should Make

With a dissapointing season under their belt, the Vikings are looking ahead into the off season. -Re-sign DE Jared Allen: One of the Vikings core players, they can't allow him to slip away in free agency. Allen has been one of the most dominant DEs over the past few years, posting almost 130 sacks over the span of his 10 year career, including a 22 sack campaign in 2011. Allen is a low risk-high reward type player, his worst season posting 7.5 sacks(With Kansas City in '06). The Vikings can't afford to let Jared Allen walk in free agency.

-Draft QB Derek Carr: Unlike Allen, there is quite a risk in taking Derek Carr. However, Carr has a huge upside and could be just the QB the Vikings need. Carr has been great in college for the Fresno State Bulldogs. In the past two years at Fresno, Carr has thrown for at least 4,000 yards, including a tremendous 5,083 yd/50 td 2013 campaign. The Vikings should definitely look into drafting Derek Carr #7 overall.

-Sign Coach Mike Zimmer: Mike Zimmer has transformed the Bengals into a defense powerhouse. Zimmer is a defense mastermind and could turn the Vikings into playoff contenders. With a new quarterback and head coach like Mike Zimmer, the Vikings are sure to have a much better record than this year.

Which moves do you think the Vikings should take? Comment!!

AFC Wild Card 2: The second AFC wild card, and the final spot in the AFC, is anyone's to take right now. No team controls its own destiny in this race, but to make playoffs requires a win and/or another team's result.

The Ravens clinch with: Win and Chargers loss OR Win and Dolphins loss OR Steelers, Chargers, and Dolphins losses.

The Dolphins clinch with: Win and Ravens loss, OR Win and Chargers win.

The Steelers clinch with: Win and Ravens, Dolphins, and Chargers losses.

The Chargers clinch with: Win and Ravens and Dolphins losses.

The NFC East: This race is by far the easiest to understand with the winner-take-all game Sunday night between the Eagles and the Cowboys.

The Eagles clinch with: Win

The Cowboys clinch with: Win

The NFC North: This race is just like the NFC East, the winner will be decided by who wins the Bears/Packers game Sunday afternoon.

The Bears clinch with: Win

The Packers clinch with: Win

NFC South: More than the division is at stake in this race. The Panthers have already clinched, but can secure a first round bye with a win and Saints loss. The Saints could be eliminated from playoffs, or have a first round bye by the end of Week 17.

Panthers clinch(division) with: Win OR Saints loss.

Saints clinch with: Win AND Panthers loss.

NFC West: The Seahawks have been favorites for this division since the start of the season, but the 49ers have a shot at the division crown. Both teams have locked up playoff spots, but are playing for a first round byes Sunday.

The Seahawks clinch(division) with: Win OR 49ers loss.

The 49ers clinch with: Win AND Seahawks loss.

NFC Wild Card 2: Sunday the Cardinals will play with a possible playoff spot on the line. The only two teams that could win up with the second wild card are the Saints and the Cardinals.

The Cardinals clinch with: Win AND Saints loss.

The Saints clinch with: Win OR Cardinals loss.

As you can see, Sunday will be one of the most intense weeks in the season. Who do you think will clinch these spots over the weekend? Comment!

Kid Reporter: Picking the Playoffs

The NFL season has been nothing short of extraordinary so far. We have seen a team with just two wins last year come back and become a playoff contender, several almost record setting performances, and huge upsets. The NFL season has been nothing short of extraordinary so far. We have seen a team with just two wins last year come back and become a playoff contender, several almost record setting performances, and huge upsets. In just a blink of an eye, ten weeks of the season have passed! The playoffs aren't even close to being set, though. So, which teams will make it into playoffs?

The NFC East:
Dallas Cowboys: The Cowboys have come so far since last season defensively and offensively. The defense has made a huge leap this year. Jason Hatcher has seven sacks so far and Sean Lee is third in the league with 93 tackles. On the other side of the ball, Tony Romo has been amazing. His 2,681 passing yards rank third in the NFC, and his 21 touchdown passes ranks third in the league. Wide receiver Dez Bryant has also been great. He is currently seventh in receiving yards and is a part of a great Cowboys receiving corps. If the Cowboys can continue playing at the rate that they are at right now, they will easily win the East.

The NFC South:
New Orleans Saints: The Saints have the best passing game in the NFC and don't look to slow down any time soon. Lead by Drew Brees and Jimmy Graham, this team has been amazing. Brees ranks second in passing yards only to Peyton Manning in the league and has the most passing yards in the NFC. Jimmy Graham has transformed the tight end position. He leads the league with ten touchdowns and is fifth in terms of receiving yards. New defensive coordinator Rob Ryan has been a huge pick-up for the Saints. The defense was pretty good before Ryan, but not this good. The Saints have been playing at an extremely high level. Let's see if they can keep it up in the final seven games of the season!

The NFC West:
Seattle Seahawks: The Seahawks have been the favorite for this division since the start of the season. They have continued to play as they were expected to play before the season and even better. The defense, lead by Richard Sherman, has been amazing. Sherman is tied for third in the league with four interceptions and has a pick-six to his credit. Marshawn Lynch has been playing at a very high level. Lynch's 871 rushing yards rank second in the league, and his seven touchdowns rank third. If the Seahawks can keep this up, they could represent the NFC in the Super Bowl.

The NFC North:
Detroit Lions: The Lions have continued to be one of the most fun teams to watch in football. The offense is incredibly strong with Matthew Stafford throwing rockets to Calvin Johnson and Reggie Bush exploding for huge runs. Stafford has thrown 19 touchdowns this year, almost half of those to Johnson, and ranks second in the NFC in passing yards with 2,836. Bush has been incredible! He is ninth in the league with 623 rushing yards and has four rushes for over 20 yards (even though he missed a game due to injury). If the Lions D can step it up over the home stretch, the Lions could be in the playoffs for the first time since 2011.

NFC Wild Card 1:
Carolina Panthers: Thanks to Luke Kuechly and the Panthers defense, the Panthers are in playoff contention. Kuechly has been phenomenal. His stats include 75 tackles and three interceptions. He should definitely be in consideration for defensive player of the year. Cam Newton has been amazing. He ranks sixth in qb rushing yards and has almost amassed 2,000 passing yards. If the Panthers can pull out both wins against the Patriots and one against the Saints, they could be in contention for a division title.

NFC Wild Card 2:
Arizona Cardinals: The Cards, after a terrible season, have bounced right back up. The Cardinals had some huge off-season changes, including the signings of coach Bruce Arians and player John Abraham. The young talent they already had is beginning to shine. Young receivers Andre Roberts and Michael Floyd along with veteran wide receiver Larry Fitzgerald have been enjoying catching passes from veteran Carson Palmer. The Cardinals have a rather tough schedule, but if they can win five out of the next seven games, a playoff berth could be in their future.

AFC East:
New England Patriots: The Patriots have been great this season. After losing several key pieces, it was unsure if the Patriots could come back and play at the level that they were at prior. The answer: yes. Tom Brady has turned his new, young receivers into stars. Brady has passed for 2,256 yards and 13 tds. The Patriots defense has been solid this year. Aquib Talib is third in the league with four interceptions. The Patriots have been a surprising team to me. Can they keep it up?

AFC South:
Indianapolis Colts: With the King of the Comebacks on your side, it's hard to lose. Second-year QB Andrew Luck has been nothing short of a first overall pick. He has more passing yards than Joe Flacco or Tom Brady with 2,430. If the Colts want to win this division, the run game needs to step up. Acquired in September, Trent Richardson has majorly underperformed in every game the Colts have played. The defense, however, has been playing outstandingly. The defense held the 49ers to just 7 points in a win in San Francisco. If Trent Richardson starts playing better, the Colts could go deep into the playoffs.

AFC West:
Denver Broncos: The Broncos have been playing amazingly. Peyton Manning's 33 td passes are first in the league. How good is he? The closest to that mark is Drew Brees with 25 TD passes. Peyton also leads the league in passing yards with 3,249. The receiving corps have been phenomenal. As mentioned before, they have caught Peyton's passes for touchdowns 33 times! However, the defense needs to be making more big plays. With Von Miller's return, it shouldn't be long until we see that. The Broncos are in an extremely tough division with the Chiefs and the Chargers, but with Peyton Manning throwing passes, it shouldn't be to hard to take home the division crown.

AFC North:
Cincinnati Bengals: AJ Green, the leagues leading receiver, has lead the Bengals to a great season. Young QB Andy Dalton, "The Red Rocket," has exceeded expectations this year. His 2,861 passing yards rank third in the league. AJ Green is the leagues leading receiver in terms of receiving yards, with 1,013(Calvin Johnson has 904). The D has majorly stepped up. Vontaze Burfict leads the league with 103 tackles. If AJ Green and Andy Dalton continue at this rate, a playoff run could be in store.

AFC Wild Card 1:
Kansas City Chiefs: It is hard to believe that this team was 2-14 last season. They have been playing extraordinary. This thanks to a huge offseason where the Chiefs signed coach Andy Reid and traded for Alex Smith. The pass rush on the defense has been the best I have ever seen. Justin Houston is third in the league with 11.0 sacks, and Tamba Hali is fifth with 9.0. Running back Jamaal Charles has been explosive. His 725 rushing yards are more than Matt Forte, Eddie Lacy, or Chris Johnson! I knew that the Chiefs would play good this year, but I didn't expect anything like this!

AFC Wild Card 2:
San Diego Chargers: Good news Charger fans, the old Phillip Rivers is back! Rivers is playing at the level he was playing before he fell into a slump last year. Rivers ranks third in the AFC with 2,691 passing yards and ranks second in the AFC in tds. The defense has been decent this year, in one game holding the Colts to just nine points. The run game has been solid. Ryan Matthews is fifth in the AFC with 539 rushing yards and receiving running back Danny Woodhead is a great running back on third down. If the defense can continue to get the ball in Phillip Rivers' hands, they could be the surprise team in the playoffs.

Kid Reporter: Pro Bowl Mock Draft

This year's new Pro Bowl format will be completely different. This year voters will vote for a particular amount of players based strictly on position, not depending on what conference they are in. This year's new Pro Bowl format will be completely different. This year voters will vote for a particular amount of players based strictly on position, not depending on what conference they are in. The players will be chosen for each team by this year's Hall of Fame captains, Jerry Rice and Deion "Primetime" Sanders. So, which players will Rice and Sanders pick?

My predictions:
Peyton Manning
Peyton has had the best season so far among NFL players. Before the Week 8 Sunday games, Peyton leads the league in all major passing categories. Manning definitely deserves to be the first selection in the Pro Bowl Draft.

Jamaal Charles
Charles has been the best running back in the league this year and a MVP candidate. Charles is second in the league in rushing with 898 rushing yards and has picked up over 1,200 yards from scrimmage.

A.J. Green
Green has been nothing short of a huge weapon for young QB Andy Dalton. His 619 receiving yards rank third in the league among wrs. Green should be the first WR taken in the Pro Bowl Draft.

LeSean McCoy
McCoy has put together quite a season so far. He currently leads the league in rushing yards and is fitting in perfectly with Chip Kelly's fast-paced offense. The captains should jump at the chance to draft LeSean McCoy.

Robert Mathis
Robert Mathis thus far this season has been the lead candidate for defensive player of the year. His 11.5 sacks are 1.5 more than anyone else in the league. Robert Mathis will be the first defensive player taken in the Pro Bowl Draft.

Drew Brees
After coming off of two straight 5,000 yard passing seasons, Brees is on track to have his 8th consecutive 4,000 yard season. No one should pass up Brees while he's still up on the board.

Jimmy Graham
Either captain shouldn't hesitate to select Brees' favorite target, Jimmy Graham. Graham leads all tight ends by 78 yards with 693 yards. The closest TE to coming to even 620 is Browns' TE Jordan Cameron.

Mario Williams
Williams signed a huge contract with Buffalo two years ago, but in his first year he did not live up to expectations. This year, he has improved significantly! His 10.0 sacks lead all DEs. The closest to that mark is St. Louis' Robert Quinn with 7.0.

This is only 8 of the many players Rice and Sanders should select. Who do you think that they will pick? I'd love to hear all about it in the comments!

If the Panthers can pull off a win against St. Louis Sunday, they will come in at an even 3-3. If the Buccaneers win against a Julio Jones-less Falcons, they will come in to Thursday night at 1-5. This is sure to be a great game.

Thus far into the 2013 NFL season we have seen many surprises. One of the biggest is the 4-0 Saints. The Saints players have been playing phenomenally. Two big parts of this year's great start have been Drew Brees and Jimmy Graham. Already, Brees has thrown for 1,434 yards, second only to Peyton Manning, and has climbed to sixth on the NFL career passing yards leaderboard. We all knew that Jimmy Graham would have a great season, but every Sunday he continues to blow my mind. He is currently second this season for receiving yards (Julio Jones, 481 yards) with 458 yards, almost 100 yards more than the TE with the third most receiving yards (Antonio Gates, 364 yards).

Another big part of the Saints big year is the return of head coach Sean Payton. Payton has a way of changing the atmosphere on the field and in the locker room. Without Payton back, I have no doubt that this team would have lost a game already.

Are the Saints for real? I think that they definitely are, and with the Falcons struggling already (1-3), the Saints are definitely the top dogs to win the NFC South. NFL, watch out for the Saints!

Can the 49ers Bounce Back?

Last week, the San Francisco 49ers lost to the Indianapolis Colts 27-7. On top of that, Aldon Smith could be out for a month and star TE Vernon Davis is injured. This is the first time that the team has been under .500 while under head coach Jim Harbaugh. What can the 49ers do to keep their playoff dreams alive? First, Frank Gore should be getting way more carries than he did last week, especially with QB Colin Kaepernick struggling as a passer. Frank Gore only saw 11 carries in last week's loss

This is the first time that the team has been under .500 while under head coach Jim Harbaugh. What can the 49ers do to keep their playoff dreams alive?

First, Frank Gore should be getting way more carries than he did last week, especially with QB Colin Kaepernick struggling as a passer. Frank Gore only saw 11 carries in last week's loss. Gore has definitely shown that he can be a 1,000 yd. rusher, accomplishing the feat 6 times in his 8 full seasons in San Francisco.

Also, someone on the 49ers defense needs to step up and fill the shoes of elite pass rusher Aldon Smith who is expected to miss about a month. Whether it's Justin Smith getting back up to the level he was playing at last year (this year he has just one sack in three games), or LBs Amhad Brooks or Navoarro Bowman, the 49ers desperately need another pass rusher.

Players on the offense have to up their games too. Anquan Boldin had an amazing Week 1 with over 200 yards receiving. Since then, Boldin has less than 80 yards receiving. It's the same thing with Colin Kaepernick. In Week 1, Kaep threw for over 400 yards. Since then, he has thrown less than 300 yards.

So, can San Fran make the playoffs this year? What do you think?

Kid Reporter: The Best New Uniform Changes

Poll. Which new uniform is the best?

This year three teams have broken out new uniforms. The Jaguars, Vikings, and the Dolphins. Which team's new uniforms is the best?

Jacksonville Jaguars: The Jaguars helmet is hands down the best in the NFL. On the front of the helmet it is black and on the back the black fades into gold. Also on the helmet they have one of the coolest logos, in my opinion.

The uniform is black with teal shoulders. I personally think that the uniform would have looked much cooler if they had the shoulders gold instead of teal. The Jaguars new uniforms are amazing.

Miami Dolphins: One big change for the Dolphins new uniforms are the numbers. The numbers have a orange shadow behind them.

Also another big change is the logo. The logo now looks like a real dolphin. The Dolphins uniforms are making a splash!

Minnesota Vikings: My favorite part about the Vikings new uniforms is that they are much simpler then the old uniforms. The uniforms are purple with two horizontal stripes on the sleeves.

Which of these uniforms is the best? Which do you think? Vote below!

Despite not making playoffs last year, the Giants are in great shape. They have young talent, a solid quarterback, a good coach, and a strong receiving core including Cruz and Nicks.

The Giants also recently drafted a offensive tackle to protect Eli Manning. My prediction for the Giants this year is that they will go 8-8 and make playoffs by winning a Wild Card spot.

I am excited to see a lot of players in 2013, but I am most excited to see Greg Jennings.

The Atlanta Falcons Receiving Core: The NFL's Greatest

It was a very tough decision, but the team with the best receiving core is the Atlanta Falcons. It all came down to the Falcons and the Broncos. It would be even if we took Roddy White and Julio Jones vs. Demaryius Thomas and Wes Welker. I am not a Harry Douglas fan, but Tony Gonzalez is the best tight end to ever step on the grid iron. Therefore, the Falcons have the best receiving core!

Roddy White and Julio Jones together have the potential to have 3,000 receiving yards. And, if you throw in Tony Gonzalez, Harry Douglas, and Jaquizz Rodgers catching passes from Matt Ryan, they become unstoppable!

Many teams have great receiving core, but the Falcons' is the best.

Eagles, Vikings Clean Up at the NFL Draft

Poll. Which team did the best in the 2013 NFL Draft?

In this year's NFL Draft, many teams did well. However, the Minnesota Vikings and the Philadelphia Eagles did the best. The Eagles and the Vikings had some huge holes that both teams filled.

The Philadelphia Eagles drafted an offensive lineman in the first round to protect their quarterbacks. With the fourth overall pick, they selected Lane Johnson. Later in the Draft, they selected Zach Ertz and Matt Barkley. Now that the Eagles have another quarterback, they will likely release or trade either Michael Vick or Nick Foles and let Barkley compete with the other one.

The Minnesota Vikings started the night with two picks and traded for another pick in the first round. They took Shariff Floyd, Xavier Rhodes, and Cordarrelle Paterson. Many experts thought that Shariff Floyd would go in the top five. Xavier Rhodes will take over for Antoine Winfield. With their final pick in the first round, they took Cordarrelle Patterson. He will fill the hole left when Percy Harvin was traded. The last time a team had three picks in the first round was in 2001. St. Louis won the Super Bowl with their three first rounders. Maybe Minnesota can make a miracle title run also.

Even though many teams did well in this year's draft, I think the Eagles and the Vikings did the best.

2013: The Year of the Lions

Poll. Which 2012 last place team in the NFC has the best shot of making playoffs?

The team that came last in their respectful division that will make playoffs is the Detroit Lions. After coming off of a strong season in 2011, the Lions fell apart in 2012, ending the season with a 4-12 record. The Lions will come back and possibly make playoffs this year because of all of the great moves they have made this off season. Mikel Leshoure put together an overall pretty good season, but he is not Adrian Peterson or even Alfred Morris. The Lions have solved that problem by signing the best free agent running back on the market, Reggie Bush. Bush, with the help of Matthew Stafford and Calvin Johnson, has the potential to have a 1,500+ yards rushing season and will definitely enhance the Lions running game. The Lions also signed Glover Quinn, a defensive player to go along with Ndamokung Suh. Last year, Quinn played well with the Texans and has the potential to be a Pro-Bowl safety with the Lions. Even though they are underdogs, I think that the Lions have the potential to win 10 games this season and make it to the playoffs.

NFC North: The Best Division in Football

The best division in the NFL is the NFC North. The NFC North includes the Detroit Lions, Minnesota Vikings, Green Bay Packers, and last but not least, Chicago Bears. In the 2011 season, the Lions, led by arguably the best receiver in the NFL (Calvin Johnson) and a young quarterback (Matthew Stafford) made the playoffs! Unfortunately, the Lions lost to Drew Brees and the Saints. In 2012, the Lions finished with a 4-12 record.   The Vikings had a 3-13 season in 2011, but bounced back in 2012

The Vikings had a 3-13 season in 2011, but bounced back in 2012 and made the playoffs! The Green Bay Packers had one of the best receiving groups in 2012. They had James Jones (who led the league in receiving touchdowns), Randall Cobb, Greg Jennings, and let’s not forget about Jordy Nelson. They also had arguably the best quarterback, Aaron Rodgers, who won MVP in 2011.

I always thought that the Bears and the Ravens have had the best defenses in the NFL. But now that the Ravens have lost Ed Reed and Ray Lewis, the Bears in my opinion, have sole possession of first place. The Bears not only have a great defense, but they also have offensive weapons with Brandon Marshall and Matt Forte, and a strong special teams, led by Devin Hester, who I personally think is the best returner in the NFL.

This year, I think that the Vikings will win the division because they have made some great moves this off-season (signing Greg Jennings and acquiring a first round pick from the Seattle Seahawks). I also think that the Packers will finish one game behind them and win a wild card spot. This is how I think it will play out:

Minnesota Vikings, 10-6
Green Bay Packers, 9-7
Detroit Lions, 8-8
Chicago Bears, 8-8

The NFC North is for sure the best division in football!

Rookie Quarterbacks-Past, Present, and Future!

Poll. Who is the best rookie quarterback in this year's draft?

Last year was one of the best years in NFL history for rookie quarterbacks. The Indianapolis Colts selected Andrew Luck as the first overall pick in the 2012 NFL Draft. The Washington Redskins selected Robert Griffin III as the second overall pick. Later on in the first round, the Miami Dolphins selected Ryan Tannehill and theClevland Browns selected Brandon Weeden. In the third round, the Eagles selected Nick Foles and the Seahawks chose Russel Wilson. Five of those six quarterbacks were starting in week one. Robert Griffin III, Andrew Luck, and Russel Wilson all made the Pro Bowl. The three of them combined for over 10,500 passing yards. Nick Foles came in for the injured Michael Vick in the middle of the season. Ryan Tannehill did pretty well as he threw for almost 3,300 yards. Finally, Brandon Weeden was solid, throwing for almost 3,400 yards.

Two years ago, there was also a great draft class. That year's draft class included quarterbacks Cam Newton, Christian Ponder, Jake Locker, Colin Kaepernick, and Andy Dalton. Cam Newton and Andy Dalton both made the Pro Bowl. Christian Ponder took over for Brett Favre, Cam Newton beat Peyton Manning's record for passing yards by a rookie, Andy Dalton threw 20 touchdowns, Jake Locker only played 5 games, and Colin Kaepernick played a backup role until Alex Smith got hurt in 2012. After the injury to Alex Smith, Kaepernick came in and brought the 49ers to the Super Bowl.

This year's quarterback draft class is also amazing. This year's quarterback class includes, Geno Smith, Mike Glennon, Tyler Wilson, Matt Barkley, E.J. Manuel, and Colin Klein. Geno Smith had an excellent college career and will likely be drafted in the top-10 of this year's draft. Mike Glennon had a great career at NC State, but likely won't be a starting quarterback in September. Tyler Wilson is a great quarterback and could lead a team to a Super Bowl if his team gives him a chance. Matt Barkley could be a top 10 pick, or a second round draft pick. EJ Manuel is a mobile quarterback and Colin Klein will not likely be drafted until at least the third round.

Rookies didn't typically make the Pro Bowl, until the last two years. For the past two years, five rookie quarterbacks have made it to the Pro Bowl! Rookie quarterbacks are just getting better. In the past, the rookie quarterback usually had a headset and clipboard for their first year in the NFL. However, Andrew Luck, Robert Griffin III, and Cam Newton have changed that. Will rookie quarterbacks continue to be this good? Only time will tell.

Free Agent Frenzy

Poll. Who should Steven Jackson play for next year?

Now that the 2012 NFL season has concluded, many players will sign with new teams. I think that these players are the top 3 among free agents.

1. Mike Wallace: Wallace led the Pittsburgh Steelers in receiving yards last year. Wallace is one of the fastest player's in the NFL, and is showing no signs of slowing down. The Steelers' quarterback Ben Roethlisberger targeted Wallace more than any other Steeler. Wallace caught over half of those throws. This shows that Wallace can be a reliable option to throw to for any team for years to come.

2. Wes Welker: Over the last 5 years, Welker has been one of the best wide receivers in the NFL. Last year, Wes had the most receiving yards on his team and 8th most in the NFL. He also had the second most receptions in the NFL. Welker will definitely tune up any team's receiving core.

3. Steven Jackson: Steven Jackson can fill many team's needs in 2013. Jackson ran for 1,042 yards this year. That was the 15th most in the NFL. The Falcons, Lions, and Colts need a running back, so expect Jackson to end up with a pretty high salary.

Notable other free agents: Greg Jennings, Cliff Avril, Phil Loadhalt, Jake Long, and Dashon Goldson.

As you can see, this is a great class of free agents this year. Where they will land? My guess is as good as yours!

Jacoby Jones Deserved MVP

Poll. Who should have won Super Bowl MVP?

Jacoby Jones definitely deserved to win MVP. Jacoby Jones set history in this year's Super Bowl.

For starters, on the opening kickoff of the second half, Jacoby Jones ran the ball into the history books. Jacoby Jones ran the ball from one end zone to the other end zone for a 108 yard touchdown. Jacoby also had a 56-yard touchdown reception to cap off a historic night.

Jacoby Jones set 4 other records in this year's Super Bowl. He had the longest play (tied,108 yards), the most all-purpose yards (290), the longest kickoff returned for a touchdown (tied,108 yards), and the most touchdowns on plays of 50 or more yards (2). All of the players on the Baltimore Ravens did great, but I think that Jacoby Jones deserved to be Super Bowl MVP.

Best Player in the Pro Bowl is...

Poll. Which wide receiver in the NFC will make the biggest impact?

Julio Jones will be the best player in this year's Pro Bowl.

If you watched the NFC Championship game last week, you would know about Jones' incredible ability to sprint down the field and then make a big play. In the NFC championship, Julio caught 11 passes for over 180 yards. He also had 2 touchdowns. In this year's Pro Bowl,

Julio was set to be a backup wide receiver until the Bears' receiver, Brandon Marshall, and the Lions' receiver, Calvin Johnson, got injured. Julio Jones also has 3 great quarterbacks throwing to him. Those quarterbacks are Drew Brees, Russel Wilson, and Eli Manning. Drew Brees alone threw 43 touchdown passes, Russel Wilson threw 26, and Eli Manning also threw 26. All three of them combined threw 95 touchdowns!

With those 3 elite quarterbacks, look for Jones to have at least 2 touchdown grabs and 100 yards.
