Kid Reporter Jared Talks Undefeated Teams

I believe that many undefeated teams will eventually get beat this year. I think the best team will be 15-1 or 14-2. My prediction for best record is Broncos or Patriots.

My other prediction is one or two teams currently undefeated will end up not to in the playoffs. This is only week 5 and there 16 games for everyone so a lot will happen.

This is the NFL!

-Kid Reporter Jared

Kid Reporter: Burke's Team

If I could create an NFL team, my first pick would be Peyton Manning as quarterback. I would have Arian Foster as my running back. My team would have Desean Jackson and A.J. Green as wide receivers and Rob Gronkowski as a tight end. My top picks for defense are corners Revis and Sherman. I would also have Adam Jones on the defensive rooster. Our stadium would be the Seattle CenturyLink Stadium. This place is loud and creates a great homefield advantage to help us get into the playoffs. Once we got through the playoffs and got into the Super Bowl we would win because we have weapons on each side of the ball! Super Bowl Champions!!!

Kid Reporter: Peyton Manning Reigns Kings

The first two weeks of the NFL season has been very exciting with newbies. They bring hype and expectations and speculation of their future. Even with said, Peyton Manning has been the one one to watch. He has had two outstanding performances. He led his team to victory over the Colts and Chiefs. He is always doing somethng great on the field. He is a playing legend. Look for more broken records this year.

Kid Reporter: Who's In and Out

I believe that tight end Jermaine Gresham will lose his spot to young up and comer Tyler Eifert. Gresham didn't have a great season last year and he is aging. Eifert is faster and an overall better tight end. The cornerback position will be a battle between Leon Hall, Terence Newman and Adam Jones. I think Kirkpatrick will not take over for these veterans. These guys are tough and experienced. Hall has been injured but looks decent at training camp. Jones has had several good seasons. As a bonus, I met Jones at a Bengals game. He came off the field and gave me the football gloves that he was wearing. This alone makes me root for him. Johnny Football will get the top spot in Cleveland but not at the start of the season. There will be a lot of pressure from the fans to put him in. However, with the King returning to Cleveland maybe the fans will forget about the football rookie.

Kid Reporter: NFL Draft 2014

Johnny Manziel from Texas A&M is my top quarterback from the NFL Draft. He is the only freshman to ever win the Heisman trophy. Many of the quarterbacks coming out of college now are dual threat quarterbacks with good arms but good quick running ability. In 2013, Manziel passed for 4,114 yard with 37 touchdowns. He also ran for 923 yards with an additional 9 touchdowns. He is very aware of the field around him and is able to read the defense. If he has Manning's ability to read the de

If he has Manning's ability to read the defense along with his quick running abilities, he will be someone to follow for many years. I hope that with the running he does he doesn't get hurt like RG3. He will be someone to watch in 2014.

Kid Reporter: Bengals Next Sanders ?

The Bengals need to continue to build on their defense.  The Bengals have been a very successful team by having a great defense.  Unfortunately their defensive coordinator left but hopefully the people who have taken over will know the system since they worked under the old coach. The Bengals pick of Darqueze Dennard as a corner will benefit their defense. This guy can play offense or defense so he could help in a pinch if it is needed.  But it also means he is good at

Kid Reporter: The Playoffs - San Diego at the Jungle

I think that the Cincinnati Bengals are going to win their first playoff game in over two decades. The Bengals already defeated San Diego once this year. A.J. Green and the Cincinnati offense will put up a good amount of points and will not turn the ball over. In order to do this, they need every person on the offense need to come to play. Andy Dalton will need to have protection from the line to have time to throw and avoid turnovers. Andy has taken the Bengals to the playoffs all three

We need Giovani Bernard and BenJarvus Green-Ellis to convert on 3rd down plays. BenJarvus Green-Ellis is very reliable to not fumble. The Bengals have a few good receivers that can make plays when needed.

I think that the defense has been carrying the Bengals when they play at home. This week is a home game so we need the defense. They need to sack Philip Rivers, make tackles, force punts and force turnovers. The linebackers need to make tackles and sack the quarterback. Our cornerbacks need to stop the wide receiver from catching the ball and gaining gains. The defense plays well together and they create momentum on the field for the offensive. The Bengals need to work together, come ready and win this game to get to the next game. I hope they go to the Super Bowl.

Chargers on a Comeback

The chargers record has been horrific; 3-4 is just too many losses. I think that the Chargers record is bad because they have lost so many players to injuries or trades. With LT gone, the Chargers lost one of their power house players. They thought that they could replace LT with Ryan Mathews but that is not what has happened. Mathews got injured and couldn't play to his full potential. Nate Kaeding was also out from an injury. Vincent Jackson still won't sign because he wants a higher s

All of the losses that the Chargers have gone through have hurt them as a whole. Once the Chargers can get over the bump in the road, they will be back to full strength!

Is Ryan Mathews the Next LT?

I think that the San Diego Chargers' RB Ryan Mathews will be able to fill LT's shoes. Mathews is a rookie out of Fresno State. Ryan was drafted by the Chargers as the 12th overall pick in the 2010-2011 draft. Ryan Mathews is 6-0 feet tall and  218 lbs. Ryan had a very impressive opening start. He had 9 carries for 50 yards and 2 receptions for 11 yards in the one half that he played in. I think that Ryan Mathews has the potential to be an outstanding player! [kidsignature userid="47

Jared Names Benjamin Watson as Best Free Agent Pickup

The best free agent this season would have to be Benjamin Watson. The Browns picked him up this year. Last year, Ben had 29 passes received, 404 yards (with a long of 36), and 5 receiving touchdowns. This doesn't seem like a lot. But when Wes Welker and Randy Moss are the primary receivers, Ben's statistics aren't bad at all. I think that the Cleveland Browns have a big sleeper on their hands. Will C.J. Spiller Be Offensive Rookie of the Year?

My early favorite for Offensive Rookie of the Year would have to be C.J. Spiller. I would choose C.J. because of his attitude and his hard work ethic. I know that Spiller will give it his all, 110%. He gave Clemson and I don't think he will have any trouble giving his all to the Bills. C.J. Jared Picks Manning and Colts to Come Out On Top!!

This is a super weekend! The Colts and the Saints go head to head in the Super Bowl! The two teams that had the best record early in the season are in the biggest game of the NFL postseason. The Colts and the Saints go head to head in the Super Bowl! The two teams that had the best record early in the season are in the biggest game of the NFL postseason.

This will be a close game, but I think that the Colts come out on top. Even though Dwight Freeney is injured, he still wants to play in Super Bowl XLIV. I don't think that Freeney's absence will make the outcome of the game change much.

I think the Colt's defense is much better than the Saints' D. This will lead to more chances for the Colts' offense. Brees and Co. will have to make the most of fewer chances, but I don't think they will.

The Colts' receivers are just as good as the Saints' pass catchers. I think Peyton Manning will take advantage of his ball control offense through the course of the game. This way, he can help the Indianapolis defense get a rest once and awhile.

I think the Colts' special teams will control the Saints' field position. By keeping Reggie Bush in check, along with the rest of the New Orleans' returners, the Colts will give the offense more room to work.

I know that the Colts will put up a winning fight. Both teams have seven Pro Bowlers, but I like the Colts' seven over the Saints'. Led by Manning, the final score will be 31-27 in favor of the Indy crew.

The only reason that the nominees from Colts and the Saints could not be at the Pro Bowl is because the Pro Bowl was bumped up before the Super Bowl. Bumping up the Pro Bowl took the best players out of the picture of going to the Pro Bowl.

I thought that the Pro Bowl was for the best players in the league, not some of the best and then second string players. If I was the commissioner of the NFL, I wouldn't have changed the weekend of the Pro Bowl. This change has taken away from the chance for the greatest players from different teams to meet, share ideas and tips, and just have fun.

I think that Pierre Garcon will win the MVP award. I can't read minds, but I don't think it will be a QB or RB. This my prediction, what is yours?

This weekend's games are Arizona at New Orleans on Saturday. Also playing Saturday are the Ravens vs. the Colts. The games being played Sunday are the Cowboys vs. the Vikings and the Jets vs. the Chargers.

Let's start with the Cards/Saints game. I think the Saints have the upper hand in this game. The Saints have 3 losses to the Cards 6 losses. That is at the end of the season records. Two key players for the Saints will be Drew Brees and Reggie Bush. Drew has had a record breaking season with the Saints and, I know he will keep it up for the last few games for this season. Same thing for Reggie with an almost perfect season, there is no holes in the Saints bucket to start losing big games. So, I think that the Saints will win in OT 34-31.

The next game on the list is the Ravens vs. Colts. The Ravens had a 9-7 record at the end of the regular season. The Colts had a 14-2 record this season. Two players from this game that I think will do well are Peyton Manning and Ray Lewis. This season has been a good season for most veteran QBs, such as Phillip Rivers, Drew Brees, Brett Farve, Peyton Manning, and Kurt Warner, and more. Ray Lewis' performance last week against the Pats, showed that he can break through the offensive line and clobber QBs. Ray will make a big impact on the game Saturday.

Sunday's first game starts with the Cowboys vs. the Vikings. The Vikings had a 12-4 record this regular season. The Cowboys had an 11-5 record this regular season. In this game I think that the Vikings will win the game Sunday. But I think that the game will be very close. I think that one field goal is going to make the difference in this game.

Last game for this week is the Jets vs. the Chargers. I think this game it will be a blow out game! The Chargers had a 13-3 record at the end of the regular season. The Jets were 9-7 at the end of the regular season. Look at the records - the Chargers will easily CHARGE over the Jets. The Chargers have such a good team this season and I don't want to see them fall to a 9-7 team in the division playoffs. I have a good amount of hope that they will Bolt their way to the Super Bowl!

Of course, I think that the Chargers will win against the Redskins. My prediction of the score will be 34-17, Chargers. As long as the Chargers keep winning, they will keep a good reputation in the NFL, and have a chance at a Super Bowl game. If the Chargers keep winning, they could get in the Hall of Fame for the most consecutive wins, right next to the Patriots!

My plans for New Year's Eve are to eat pork and sauerkraut and drink root beer floats. We can stay up to watch the ball drop in NYC, and if we do, we get a dollar that Mom puts on top of the TV. That is one of her traditions. A new tradition that we have started is making a time capsule on New Year's Day. We will open last year's time capsule (just a shoe box stuffed with memories) before we make our 2009 time capsule. Happy New Year!

I don't think that the coaches will sit out anyone that might hurt their chances in the next two games. If they do rest their big players, they should have enough trust in their second string to play them and hope they get a win from them.

If I were the coach and my team was still in the hunt for the Super Bowl I would let my better players play. If I were the coach but we were a 3-11 team and not in the hunt for the playoffs, I would take the chance and let the second string players play and see how they do in a game. But, that is only me. I think that any team that has the smallest chance of going to the Super Bowl will play their usual starters.

Over my Holiday Break, I look forward to getting to see all of my family. We are gathering at my Great Grandparent's house on Christmas Day. I always like the time after we have eaten dinner, and we can go outside, and have snowball fight! I do look forward to the presents, but I really can't wait for all the great foods, and the desserts! Have a GREAT Holiday Break!

If every Charger starts to shine, we might have a chance at the Super Bowl. The next three games, plus the playoffs, will determine if the Chargers will go to the Super Bowl!

When the Chargers go to the Super Bowl, which they will, I hope to see them play the Saints. Then we can show them really which team is in charge! Of course the Chargers will win in the Super Bowl. Before the Chargers go to the Super Bowl, they will beat the Colts with a big upset. The Saints will beat the Vikings to go to the Super Bowl, which would not be a surprise if the Saints keep up their huge winning streak. When the Chargers play the Saints in the Super Bowl, I think that the Chargers will win 34-14 over the Saints!

They have come back in the fourth quarter the most times this season in the whole NFL. The key to their wins are their Special Teams and Defense. The Special Teams and Defense have exploded since the start of the season! Who's Next?! The Chargers Are Unstoppable!!

The Chargers are playing the Browns on Sunday! The Chargers have had a winning streak, and I don't think that they will break it this week! (Knock on wood!) I think that the score will be a blow out like last week. So, the score will be 33-17.

Fantasy HOT PICKS!

Peyton Manning has had 3415 total passing yards and 70.4% completion so far this season.

Chris Johnson has rushed for 1396 total yards. Also he is tied with Kenny Brit for first for the most receptions on the season, for the Titans!

Randy Moss has been at the end of Tom Brady's passes for 992 receiving yards.

I plan on the Chargers winning against the Chiefs as they did against the Broncos last week. I think the score will be 31-14. The Chargers really looked ready for the Broncos last week and since this is another rivalry game, they should be well prepared again. I think the defense has been playing much better and may score a touchdown this week.

My Hot Picks of the Week are Aaron Rodgers, Steven Jackson and Terrell Owens.

Rodgers completed 32 of 45 passes for 344 yards and two touchdowns against San Francisco last week. The Packers won 30-24. This week they face Detroit in the Annual Thanksgiving game. Rodgers should hand the Lions another loss, dropping them to 2-9. The Packers need to keep winning to keep pace with the Vikings in the NFC North.

Jackson rushed for 116 yards on 24 carries. He also scored a one yard touchdown run. After being hurt most of last season, Jackson has been coming on strong of late, but the Rams didn't have enough offense to beat the Cardinals. The Rams tangle with Seattle on Sunday and Jackson should return to his old form.

Terrell Owens of the Buffalo Bills has been pretty quiet so far this season. He broke out with nine catches for 197 yards and one touchdown last week against the Jaguars. It was not enough to give new head coach Perry Fewell his first win. The Bills tangle with Miami this week and should get a win with Owens' help.

Trip East Trips Up Broncos

Where did the Broncos' luck go? The Broncos took their first loss Sunday while visiting the Baltimore Ravens. Was it jet lag that did them in? The Ravens built a 6-0 lead at halftime and a 95-yard kickoff return by Lardarius Webb to open the second half put the Broncos in a 13-0 hole. Knowshon Moreno put 6 on the board for Denver, but it was all Purple and Black after that. The final score was 30-7 in favor of the Ravens. Denver, 6-1 overall and 3-0 at home, returns to Mile High country on Monday Night Football this week as they face the Steelers. I think the Broncos will return to their winning ways as they trample the Black and Gold 24-14.

West Coast teams always have a tough time coming east. East coasters going west don't have as many problems. But, this prediction should make up for the Steelers beating the Chargers in that Sunday night game several weeks ago. Help me out Broncos!

Fantasy Hot picks for Week 9

The Eagles' rookie LeSean McCoy had a great game against the Giants. He was running over and around them for a touchdown in the 4th quarter of the Eagles' 40-17 win. McCoy rushed for 82 yards on 11 carries and added 10 yards on 2 catches. Look for McCoy to continue "flying high" this week as the Cowboys come to town.

The 49ers' Frank Gore just came off the injured list a week or two ago. He is already back in top form, splitting the Colts' defense for 91 yards on 13 carries and a 64 yard touchdown jaunt in the first quarter. Gore also had 5 catches for 43 yards in the 18-14 loss. With Gore running well, Alex Smith back under the center and Michael Crabtree running down passes, the Niners can certainly make some noise in the NFC West with Tennessee coming to town this week.

My super sleeper of the week is Vincent Jackson of the San Diego Chargers. Jackson has been up and down, but is hot right now. He had 8 catches for 103 yards on Sunday versus the Raiders, including an 8 yard strike from Philip Rivers. He will have to have another big game as the Chargers head to NYC to tangle with the Giants.

Saints Will March Over Giants?!!!

I think the score will be 24 to 21. Drew Brees will be the game changer. Brees has been very consistent over the first five weeks. He leads the league in passing yardage and touchdowns. Look for him to lead the Saints to victory. Who will win?! What's your prediction?! Fantasy Hot picks for Week 6 Rashard Menden

Yes, that's right. I pick the Saints over the Giants. Both teams are undefeated but it is time for New Orleans to step up in a big game. I think the score will be 24 to 21. Drew Brees will be the game changer. Brees has been very consistent over the first five weeks. He leads the league in passing yardage and touchdowns. Look for him to lead the Saints to victory.

Who will win?! What's your prediction?!

Fantasy Hot picks for Week 6

Rashard Mendenhall, Pittsburgh Steelers

Mendenhall has put together two solid efforts for the Steelers with Willie Parker out. He is running well behind the offensive line of Pittsburgh. Plus, this week is a rivalry game with the Browns.

Wes Welker, New England Patriots

Welker is back in action and looking good. I have confidence that Tom Brady will look for Wes more this week. He should put up big numbers.

Baltimore Ravens Defense

The Ravens had a tough game against Cincinnati last week. They held the Bengals until late in the game before giving up the game-winning touchdown. I really think they will be able to keep Adrian Peterson and the Vikings in check this Sunday.

Will the Bengals Deliver a 24-21 Loss to the Ravens??? Hi to all you NFL Rushers. I had a great time at the Steelers/Chargers game on Sunday night. I'm sorry to all the Steeler fans I was wrong. My prediction of the week is the Bengals defeating the Baltimore Ravens by a 24-21 score. Cedric Benson and Chad Ochocincho will help Carson Palmer cruise past the Ray Lewis-led Raven D. Whoever wins will be leading the AFC North.

My hot picks are good ones this week. We start with Peyton Manning at quarterback. He has led the Colts to an undefeated 4-0 mark this season. Manning has completed 97 of 137 passes for over 1,300 yards and nine touchdowns. He will keep that pace up against the Titans this week.

Wes Welker is due back on the field for the Patriots this week. He has been out for the last couple of games with an injury. Look out Denver! Welker and Tom Brady will be connecting all game long.

After watching Rashard Mendenhall of the Steelers last week, I think he will have another great game. Mendenhall rushed for over 150 yards against the Chargers and I think he will do even better against the Lions on Sunday.

Week 4 Prediction: Chargers Knock Off Steelers on Sunday Night!

Jared says: "Chargers will beat Steelers on Sunday Night!" In one of the biggest games of the 2009 season, Jared picks the Chargers over the Steelers on Sunday night. "Sorry to all the Steeler fans. It will be a bad day in Pittsburgh." Jared will be at the game to witness the Chargers bolt their way to victory. Philip Rivers has been hot (303 yards passing last week against the Dolphins with no touchdowns) and should get a couple scoring passes. Maybe Naanee can catch a touchdown pass versus the Black and Gold. Darren Sproles gained 41 yards on the ground, caught two passes, returned two punts and three kickoffs while filling in for LT. Maybe LT will be back in action this week in the Steel City.
Final score prediction: Chargers 24, Steelers 14.

Hot Picks for Week 4:

My first hot pick is Peyton Manning, not because of his name, but because of his performance over the last 2 weeks. I think Manning will get some good yardage and a couple scores when Seattle comes to town this week.

Darren Sproles is my second hot pick. If LT is still on the bench, Sproles should get plenty of action against the Steelers. He didn't have a real good game last week and should come out strong.

My third pick is Felix Jones of the Dallas Cowboys. He carried 8 times for 94 yards against the Panthers last week. The Broncos are hosting Dallas. Hopefully Jones can run for over 100 yards in the high altitude.

Can Philip Rivers Handle Baltimore's Tough Defense?

Hi Everyone!   This is Jared bringing you my HOT PICKS for Week 2 of the NFL season. It is hard to pick a quarterback, but I'm going to go with Philip Rivers of the San Diego Chargers. Rivers completed 24 of 35 passes for 252 yards with one touchdown and one interception against the Raiders last week. He faces a tough defense in Baltimore this week.   For my running back, MJD of the Jacksonville Jaguars had been sharing the running back spot until this year. Now, it is just him

Now, it is just him and the end zone after a 97 yard, 1 touchdown performance against the Colts when the Jags face Arizona this week.

For my wide receiver, I think Wes Welker of the New England Patriots will break out against the NY Jets. Welker had 12 catches for 93 yards but didn't score last week against the Bills. He should find the end zone at least twice this week on passes from Tom Brady.

Top Play of the Week
While I'm glad the Chargers won 24-20 over the Raiders on Monday Night Football, the play of the week happened on Sunday in the Denver/Cincinnati game. Brandon Stokley, a former Indianapolis Colt, caught a tipped pass for a 57-yard touchdown to win the game for the Broncos. I couldn't believe it the first time I saw it. I had to rewind and play it again. Check it out on NFL.com Can't Miss Plays.

I hope your favorite team does well this week. Go Chargers.

Jared
