My favorite team the Dallas Cowboys, did not make the playoffs after a tough loss against the Eagles. I believe that they should draft defensive players in the draft. The defense was the worst defense in the league this year and that is unacceptable. I think Monte Kiffin should be fired and Jason Hatcher should be re signed. Miles Austin needs to improve the most. He had a down year this season and needs to get healthy.
I also believe Dez Bryant should be signed to an extension. He has had 2 straight 1000+ yard seasons and made the pro bowl this season. He is a threat and another receiver for Tony Romo to throw to.
It will be interesting to see if Dallas can make the playoffs next season.
For the NFL Rush Fantasy Football Playoffs I am looking for players who are consistent. I want players who can play at a high level every single week. The look of my team will definitely change because not every team makes the playoffs. Because of this It will be tough to choose my roster. For example I may choose AP every week, but come playoff time, I will have to choose Marshawn Lynch.
My roster for the playoffs will most likely be Peyton Manning, Marshawn Lynch, Demaryius Thomas, Jimmy Graham, Seattle Defense and Jamaal Charles.
Good luck everyone playing NFL Rush Fantasy Football and Happy Holidays to everyone.
The Dallas-Oakland game was my favorite Thanksgiving game. It was back and forth from the start. Oakland started out with a 21-7 lead but the high powered Cowboys offense which includes Tony Romo and Dez Bryant started making plays and they ended up winning 31-24.
I am a Cowboys fan and I was very impressed with how good the Defense played in the second half. I do think Romo and the Cowboys have overcame their 4th Quarter struggles.
This Season in the 4th Quarter Tony Romo is 76-108 with 853 YD's, 6 TD's and only 2 INT's. Stats show that Romo has been great in the 4th Quarter his whole career. He has the highest completion percentage in NFL History in the 4th Quarter. It will be interesting to see if Romo can keep this up during a month in which he struggles. Only time will tell.
I think the Broncos will Beat the patriots on Sunday. I think the broncos have momentum and the patriots have not been playing well. It will be a close game though because both teams have great QB's. I think Demarius Thomas and Rob Gronkowski will both have good games. They have both been playing very well lately and I believe they will continue that this week.
I remember they played each other last year and the patriots won 31-21. The best thing about that game was that the patriots defense shut down Peyton manning and the broncos offense. It should be a great game and I look forward to watching it.
I would vote for Tony Romo, Peyton manning, LeSean McCoy, Adrian Peterson, Wes Welker, Calvin Johnson, Jason Witten, etc. I think Tony Romo has exceeded expectations. He has 15 TD's which is 2nd in the NFL and only 5 INT's. I think Joe Flacco has underachieved this season. He has thrown too many INT's and isn't very accurate.I think he is very overrated. He got a huge contract in the off season and I think the Ravens organization thinks he is better than he is.
I don't really like the new format. I think there should be kickoffs and they should play by conference. It will be an exciting game to watch and I look forward to seeing it.
I find it very surprising that the Giants are 0-3. They have a lot of talent and are capable of being a playoff team. If they want to make the playoffs, they have to be more consistent. They need to stop turning over the ball. In their first game against Dallas, they turned it over 6 times, and it cost them the game.
If they can fix their mistakes, there is a small chance they can make it as a wild card team. But it is very tough to accomplish that feat. Only five teams have made the playoffs after starting the season 0-3. The Giants also need to establish a solid running game. So far they are averaging 44 rushing yards a game which is the worst in the NFL. The Giants shouldn't panic yet, because they have 13 games to turn their season around.
I believe that Marc Trestman will have more success than any other first year head coach. He has experience at the NFL Level and has won a championship in the CFL as the coach of the Montreal Alouettes.
He has a great staff in Chicago and a defense that was ranked third in the league last season. The Bears also have a good offensive players such as Matt Forte and Jay Cutler. Trestman is a great play caller and has been an Offensive Coordinator for the 49ers, Cardinals, Browns and the Oakland Raiders and improved each teams offensive numbers dramatically.
Trestman has trained many solid NFL QB's. His coaching record in the CFL was 59-31 and there is no doubt he will have similar numbers in the NFL, so don't be surprised if the Bears make the playoffs this season.
Here is some advice for new NFL RUSH Fantasy Football Users:
1. Check your roster daily because injuries occur often and could affect your roster in many ways. Even if the injury isn't severe, your player may be limited because they are not 100% healthy.
2. Don't overthink your fantasy roster. Some people spend hours trying to decide who to pick. Just have fun and pick the players who you think will play well.
3. Create fantasy leagues. Creating fantasy leagues makes it more competitive because you can battle your friends for the top spot in your league
4. Don't be afraid of good matchups. If a good player is facing a top defense don't take them out of your lineup. Take the risk and keep your player in. If they have a good game then you made a good decision. If they don't have a good game, don't be upset with your decision because they may play well the next game.
The best coach in the NFL is Bill Belichick. In 12 years as New England's head coach he has lead the Patriots to 5 Super Bowls. Since he became the head coach the Patriots have only had one losing season which was in 2000 when the Patriots went 5-11. He makes good decisions when the game is on the line. He has a great relationship with his players and is loved by the Patriots organization.
With New England his coaching record is 151-57 which is a great record. If his team gets blown out he makes them work extra hard at practice next week to fix the mistakes they made in that game. He has signed good players that are available such as Wes Welker and Tim Tebow. He never makes excuses for his teams play. He has had a great coaching career and will win many more games in the coming years.
I think the team with the best receiving corps in the NFL is the Denver Broncos. They added Wes Welker to an already solid group of receivers, which include Demaryius Thomas and Eric Decker. The three receivers combined for 29 TDs last season. They are all young and should be impact players for many years to come. They are all good at gaining yardage after a catch, and they always shine when they are needed most.
They all have great speed to get downfield and they have great hands. With a great QB in Peyton Manning, they are sure to get the ball a lot. If any of the three get hurt, they have young reserves with great speed to fill in for them. The Broncos averaged 291 yards per game last year and could average more if all three receivers stay healthy. Don’t be surprised if the Broncos have a lot of receiving TDs this season.
I think the biggest surprise in the 2013 NFL Draft is the Jets taking Geno Smith in the second round. Most of the analyst thought that he would be a top pick. It was a great pick for the Jets, but they were lucky he was still available. He had a great season this year, throwing 42 touchdowns and leading his team to a bowl game. He set 17 Mountaineer records during his college career, including: most touchdowns in a season and most touchdowns scored in a single game.
Geno has great potential and will be the starting QB for the Jets next year. At the NFL Combine, he ran a 4.59, which is good for a QB. Last year against Baylor, he completed 45 passes, threw for 656 yards and 8 touchdowns, which is a very good game. Smith is only 20 years old, so he should be able to play at a high level in the league for at least 10 years. The Jets like Smith so much that they released a valuable player in Tim Tebow.
Geno Smith is a tall QB at 6'3 and teams want tall QBs. Smith will have a lot of pressure on him because he is in the same division as the Patriots. Jets fans will love having Geno Smith as their team’s QB for years to come.
I think the Detroit Lions have the best chance of a last place team to make the playoffs this season.
Here are the reasons why I think they will make the playoffs:
1. They added Reggie Bush, a solid running back, which they didn't have last year, and David Akers, who is a great kicker. These acquisitions can only help them become a better team.
2. They have a great QB in Matthew Stafford, a dynamic WR in Calvin Johnson, and a strong DT in Ndamukong Suh.
3. They have a high pick in this year’s Draft and should get an impactful player.
4. Despite losing some key players this offseason such as Titus Young, Jason Hanson,
Kevin Smith, and Cliff Avril, the Lions are still a young team that should have most of their good players for years to come.
Although it is a great division, the Bears, Packers, and Vikings lost some key players. The Bears lost Brian Urlacher, the Packers lost Greg Jennings and the Vikings lost Percy Harvin. All these players helped their team in many ways. This should help the Lions.
The Lion’s coaching staff is solid and they usually make the right choices. They don’t have an easy schedule, but with the talent that they have, they should be able to win most of their games. The last time Detroit had a losing record, they came back the next year and went to the playoffs. Therefore, don't be surprised if they Lions make it to the playoffs this season.
Every year, there is a debate about which division is the best in football. I feel like the NFC North is hands down the best division. Here are some reasons I believe this:
With the division race always close (sometimes decided in the last week of the season), multiple teams from the NFC North usually make it to the Playoffs. This year it could be the Packers and maybe even the Lions.
Many of the great players in the NFC North are young, so it will be a dominant division for years to come. Each team has solid coaching staffs, who make smart personnel decisions both in Free Agency, and throughout the season. While people are unsure of Christian Ponder, the other teams in the division have a solid QB, which is crucial to your success. Also, their defenses are stacked with very good players.
Teams that have a bad year in the NFC North usually bounce back the following year with a good record. For example, the Lions went 6-10 in 2010, and then went 10-6 in 2011 and made the playoffs. If I was in the NFL, I would love to play in the NFC North.
I believe Darrelle Revis will end up staying in New York. He is too good of a player to give up, unless the Jets get a superstar in return. Without him this year, the Jets went 5-9. The Jets defense is built around Revis and Cromartie. If they let him go, it will definitely be a downgrade since there aren't many cornerback's that can play on Revis's level.
He averages about 4 INT's a year and has the ability to return them all back for touchdowns. If they trade him, they may not get a great player in return. He missed last year with an injury, but he should be healthy and play like a shutdown corner this season. Offenses don't throw to his side of the field because he is a shutdown corner. He also has the ability to play against the run and he averages 42 tackles a year, which is a lot for a cornerback.
He has 2 Jets franchise records which are the longest interception return for a touchdown and most defended passes. He is clutch in moments he is needed most. He has a great relationship with his teammates and he is a great leader. He wants a big contract and he deserves it.
If Revis plays at a high level for the rest of his career, he could end up in the Hall of Fame.
My favorite player in the NFL is DeMarcus Ware. He is my favorite player because I love his style of play and his ability to play through injuries. He has had seven great years with the Cowboys and I believe there will be many more to come. In his seven years, he has totaled 111 sacks, which averages to about 16 per year (which is ALOT for any player in the NFL). He is also on my favorite team, the Dallas Cowboys, which makes me like him even more as a person.
With the injuries that he suffers, it is tough for him to play at a high level every week. Despite this, he has not missed a game in his entire career. I admire his leadership, which I try to follow before my games. I look up to him as a player so much that two years ago, I chose to wear #94 as my football jersey. Many analysts rank him as the best defensive player in the NFL, and I agree. He works very hard during the off-season to get better at what he does best--attacking the QB.
In 2011, Ware had 19.5 sacks, 47 tackles, 2 pass deflections, and 2 forced fumbles. Ware ended the season only a half sack away from becoming the first player in NFL history to post multiple 20 sack seasons. In 2011, he also recorded his 100th sack, becoming only the 29th player to do so. That is why DeMarcus Ware is my favorite player.
