Jets let go of Tim Tebow and get a new start. However, at the Draft, the Jets got QB Geno Smith from West Virginia. At 6 feet 3 inches tall and weighing in at 218 pounds, Smith was drafted with the eighth pick in round two (#39 overall). At Combine, he recorded a 4.56 in the 40 yard dash, 2.65 in the 20 yard dash, and 1.62 the 10 yard dash. He is rated number is one out of 111 QBs! Let me know what you think of Geno Smith.
It looks like the Tampa Bay Buccaneers are losing patience with the New York Jets. People think he will wind up with the Jets for another season. The Jets and the Bucks are trying to fight for the top price. In this year’s offseason (2013), the Jets have already given him a $1 million bonus. The Jets’ latest gesture might just push him to stay in a Jets uniform. As you can see, this is going to be a very interesting fight. Where do you think he will end up at the end of this mess??? Please please comment!!!
The crowd in the University of Phoenix Stadium goes wild all because of the touchdown catch by Larry Fitzgerald. My favorite NFL player is Larry Fitzgerald because he made my favorite team very famous. He also took the AZ Cardinals to there first Super Bowl. He has more than 1,000 receiving yards in the past 5 seasons. He was the leader of the NFC west in receiving yards in 2008. He also was all pro in 2007, 2008, 2009, and 2011.
For college he went to University of Pittsburgh where he played for the Pittsburgh Panthers. He was considered one of the best wide receivers in college football from 2002 to 2003. He was recognized as the best player in the NCAA with the 2003 Walter Camp Award and the Touchdown Club of Columbus's Chic Harley Award. In just 26 games with the Panthers, Fitzgerald caught 161 passes for 2,677 yards.
Fitzgerald was drafted third overall in the 2004 NFL Draft by the AZ cardinals, whose then coach, Dennis Green, knew Fitzgerald from his time as a Vikings ball boy. In 2004, Fitzgerald had 58 receptions for 780 yards and 8 touchdowns. On December 12, 2004, Fitzgerald became the youngest player at 21 years and 110 days, to record at least 2 touchdown receptions in a single game.
This year he has 71 receptions for 798 yards. They started the season wining 4 games, but then losing 9 straight. Week 15 the AZ Cardinals beat the Lions (10-38) breaking the streak, but then lost the last 2 games of the season. They finished the season 5-11.
Now you know my favorite player in the NFL and why.
