Week 8 will bring another jam packed awesome football week with a lot of intriguing games.
The Dolphins and the Patriots kick off week 8 on Thursday night in Foxboro, MA. With the dolphins coming off an 18 point victory against the Texans, their defense was locked in and in the zone, like I thought they would be all season. However, I think that the New England crowd will get the best of them and the Patriots will walk away victorious and still undefeated. Patriots 24-17
Our last international game of the year is the Chiefs against the Lions. The Chiefs capitalized on a beat up Steeler team with a win last week. The Lions lost AGAIN and fired their offensive coordinator. I predict that the Chiefs will continue their winning ways. Chiefs 31-24
The Sunday games kick off with a NFC South rivalry, the Buccaneers at the Falcons. Once again, the Falcons will take ownership of an easy schedule. It's a no-brainer here that they will be the dominant team in this match up, especially at the Georgia Dome.
Our next 1 o'clock game is the Cardinals at the Browns. The Browns need a win soon, and it will come eventually, but just not in this game. The Cardinals are playing dynamite football, and leaving most of their opponents in the dust. Cardinals 24-10
The 49ers travel to St. Louis to play the Rams in a NFC West divisional game. Neither of these teams are great, which makes this a tougher game to pick. But, the 49ers haven't even won a game on the road this season, and it won't come this week. I think the game might be low scoring as neither of the offenses are clicking. Rams 13-6
The NY Giants escaped last week with a win against Dallas. They travel to New Orleans this week to take on a Saints team that looks like they are turning things around. I think Odell Beckham Jr. may be too much for the Saints CB's to handle. Giants 21-16
The NFC North hosts our next game, as the Vikings take on the Bears at Soldier Field. The Vikings have looked a lot better than last year, with Adrian Peterson returning to action. I think he will play a big part in this game as long as his injuries don't get the best of him. Vikings 17-10
Up next is the Chargers at the Ravens. Both of these team are under-achieving. While the Chargers are good in the passing game, their running game has not been enough to pull through in those goal line situations. However, I believe their passing game will help them get a win this week. Chargers 17-16
Another great rivalry game in week 8 is with the Bengals and the Steelers. The Steelers haven't looked that good lately, but Ben Roethlisberger is coming back this week. He suffered a rough knee injury in week 3, but it looks like he will be back this week. In the end, the Bengals are too good of a team for Ben to beat in his first week back from injury. Bengals 27-20
The Titans and the Texans face off in another 1pm game on Sunday. The two teams are not that good. I'm going to take the Texans, mostly because they are at home. Texans 14-7
Kicking off the 4 o'clock games are the Jets and Raiders out in California. The Jets have been looking like a playoff contender this year, and for the Raiders, things are also looking up. The Jets still look like the better team to me. Jets 23-10
The Seahawks go AT&T Stadium to play the Cowboys for our next game. Both of these teams haven't looked like themselves this year. The Cowboys have a lot of injuries, which is why I believe they are going to struggle in this game. I don't think they will have enough momentum to overpower Seattle. Seahawks 17-10
On Sunday night football, we have a great match up of undefeated teams, The Packers and the Broncos. One of these teams has to lose their first game of the year, and I think it will be the Broncos. Packers 27-23
Week 8 will close out on Monday Night Football with the Colts and the Panthers. The Panthers are still 6-0, and they surprised a lot of people. Their momentum will continue through this week as they remain undefeated and beat the struggling Colts. Panthers 23-14
There they are, my week 8 picks. Have a great football week.
