What Kept Me Active This Winter

This winter it wasn't as cold as I expected. The bad thing about the winter though was that it didn't snow in Georgia like it did in 2010 and 2011. The good thing was it was my birthday in February and that is during the winter. I turned 12 this year.

What kept me active this Winter were basketball games and tournaments, baseball practice, and writing articles. I played basketball for Ben Hill Tigers 12 and under. This year I was number 23 and I played Point Guard and Shooting Guard. We went to the Championships for the first time this year, but sadly we lost.

After the season was over my old school (Centennial Place Elementary) had an all-star YMCA team and we played in a tournament at the Suwanee Sports Academy. We also went to the Championship andwe won 49-12! On that team I played Point Guard, but I was number 15.

Mostly every Sunday I would have baseball practice either on the field or in the batting cages. In baseball I play for a team called the Georgia Grays. I play Shortstop and Pitcher and I am number 7.

In conclusion, playing baseball and basketball kept me active during the winter. Throughout winter I was gone from the house every weekend. I really enjoyed playing basketball this winter and now I am getting ready for baseball in the summer!
