My most underrated player is by far the most underrated kicker in the National Football League. He goes by the name of Garrett Hartley. I have multiple reasons to support my choice: First, I'd like to say that he is the kicker that changed a rule in playoff football. If you don't know, I'm talking about the new OT rule that the NFL is enforcing for the 2010 Playoffs. This rule gives an opportunity for both teams to posses the ball in OT if a field goal is scored on the first posession. It also encourages teams to go for touchdowns in OT in the Playoffs. This rule has been adopted mainly because after the Saints won the coin toss, Garrett Hartley sent the Saints to the Super Bowl when his OT kick won the NFC Championship for the Saints against the Minnesota Vikings last season. He has helped change the rules of football. Another reason he is not only one of the most underrated players on the New Orleans Saints team, but one of the most underrated kickers in the NFL is that he put 11 points up on the board on Super Bowl Sunday. That's what you call big-time players that make big-time plays. That's why I choose Garret Hartley as the most underrated player on the New Orleans Saints.
