Hi, this is Cole. I am excited about the 2009 season for the Detroit Lions. I can't wait to see the Lions dominate! The Lions need to improve on defense and protect the quarterback better. The Lions will reenergize their season with Jim Schwartz, their new head coach and with Matthew Stafford, quarterback, their 1st round draft pick. They're doing great in their preseason games.
My predictions for the Super Bowl are the Vikings and the Colts. I think the Vikings are going to go all the way to the Super Bowl because of their strong running back Adrian Peterson now paired with Brett Favre! The Colts will go because Peyton Manning will be at the top of his game this season. The Colts tight end Dallas Clark will also help them dominate. I think the Colts will be the Super Bowl champions.
If I had to pick surprise playoff teams, I would choose the Chiefs from the AFC and the Rams from the NFC. The Rams will surprise us all because they didn't do very well last season. James Butler is an awesome cornerback that will help them get better. The Chiefs would be a surprise because they also had a rough 2008 season. Matt Cassel, quarterback, will come back from injury to rally his team into the playoff eligibility. Who do you think will be the surprise teams in the playoffs?
I can't wait to kickoff the 2009 NFL season.
