On December 2nd, I met the starting QB for the Seattle Seahawks, Matt Hasselbeck! It was awesome! He came to my house in a huge limousine. There was a knock on the front door and I answered it, Matt Hasselbeck was standing there with a big smile. I stared at him with awe.

I invited Matt into my house along with a lot of photographers and reporters. Matt is really tall and his head almost touched our ceiling. He let me wear his NFC Championship ring. It was so heavy and shiny. I kept it on all morning.

We had some breakfast, took some photos and then I gave him a tour of my house. I showed him my room and he saw a picture of my brother, sister and I riding on an elephant in Thailand. I don't know why, but he just couldn't believe that I was on an elephant. We then played Madden '09 on Wii. I beat him. Then we left for school in the limo.

It was the first time that I ever rode in a limo...a super stretch limo! When we got to school all the students and teachers were cheering. Matt gave some autographs and then we went to the gym.

In the gym people were also cheering and there was a giant balloon arch, a balloon Matt Hasselbeck figure and a balloon field goal! Our principal Mrs. DeRosa welcomed everyone and then a man from JC Penney talked about NFL Play 60 program and introduced me. I said; "Hey Guys, I would like you to meet my new friend, Matt Hasselbeck!" Everyone cheered as he ran in! He took some students questions and talked about the NFL Play 60 program and staying healthy. He said that his best NFL moment was earning the NFC Championship ring and his worst moment was celebrating a touchdown pass when he went to dive on the pile of teammates and the whole pile moved and he did a belly flop on the ground! Matt is really awesome and funny.

Then just my class had PE with Matt playing activities and trying different stations including catching & throwing footballs, an obstacle course, stretching with elastic bands, and races. We were tired after PE class!

Before Matt left, I gave him four hugs! He also told me his favorite play...it was very confusing. Matt taught me to never give up and always reach for your goals! Spending time with Matt was so exciting. I will never, ever forget this incredible day. I plan to enter again next year and maybe I'll win!
