Team Report Cards: Where Do the Eagles Start?

We are far removed from the delusions of a "Dream Team" in Philadelphia but now it's time to pick up the pieces and learn to fly again.  The Eagles have a lot to fix and the biggest change in the offseason already came when Chip Kelly took over as head coach.

Philadelphia Eagles

2012 Record: 4-12

Grade: D-

The Good:

  • - New Head Coach Chip Kelly brings his bag of tricks to Philly
  • - McCoy, Maclin and Jackson are perfect fits for the new offense
  • - 7th ranked pass defense

The Bad:

  • - Lost 11 of their last 12 games
    • - Tied with Kansas City for the worse take away/give away ratio (-24) in the NFL
  • - Their QBs were sacked 48 times

The Future:

    • - First Draft Position # 3: OT Luke Joeckel or QB Geno Smith
    • - Free Agent Targets: OT Jake Long, LB London Fletcher, and DB Charles Woodson
  • - Trade: QB Nick Foles to Kansas City and add more draft picks

Who will be the QB for the Eagles when the 2013 season begins?
