On Monday, all NFL teams had to declare which players they would place their franchise tag on.  But what exactly is a franchise tag?  Each year, every NFL team gets to pick one player, who would otherwise be a free agent, to place their tag on. This tag limits a player's ability to go to another team. NFL teams use the tag on players that are important to the team so they can keep their stars playing for them.  Here are the players that got "franchised" this year:
