This week the Pittsburgh Steelers traveled to Denver to face off against the Broncos.

The Steelers were the favorite by many, but not by me. They were without James Harrison, Ryan Clark, and Rashard Mendenhall. This put them at a serious disadvantage. They were missing their fastest and strongest defensive player, as well as their Pro Bowl running back.

Now to the game. From the early stages, I could tell that I would be right on my prediction. Even with the Steelers on top at the half, I had a feeling that the Broncos were going to stick around and win. Throughout the entire game, the Broncos looked sharp on both sides of the ball.

The Steelers, on the other hand, looked mentally and physically slow. Especially at the end of the game when Ben Roethlisberger pump-faked twice and then whipped the ball out of bounds. He threw a pick on the next snap.

Also, I was extremely impressed by Peyton Manning's performance. The man hasn't touched a football in a year and half and then he stepped onto the field and went 19/26, threw for 253 yards, 2 TDs, and no picks. Those are amazing numbers, espesially for a guy who missed all of last season. Also, his command of the offense was fantastic. He looked like the same Peyton from the 2006 Suber Bowl team that the Colts put together. Peyton made the Broncos look like the Colts of old.

Overall, I think that the Steelers are going to have a rough year due to the age issues and, as I mentioned before, the mentality of Ben Roethlisberger.
