One of the most closely watched training camp competitions is the one between Mark Sanchez and Geno Smith for starting QB for the New York Jets.

Sanchez is the returning starter and, while he had a down year last season, he has the edge in experience. He did lead the Jets to two Divisional Championships. Do you really want to throw a rookie into the tough AFC East?

Geno is the prized rookie from West Virginia who exploded last season, throwing for 4,205 yards and 42 TDs with only 7 interceptions. The kid can really sling it, and if recent history is any indication, rookies do excel in the NFL. Why wait?
