This summer you might have spent a week at camp. Players in the NFL have their own time at camps, but at the NFL camps, you will find whistles and tackling pads instead of hiking and smores. Welcome to NFL Training Camp!
NFL players around the league have already gone off to camp -- some teams held training camp at their own practice facility, while others went out of town. Several additional teams traveled to small colleges for their camp, some of which are known for hosting an NFL training camps. In fact, the Green Bay Packers have held their camp at St. Norbert College for the past 49 years!
Ten years ago, nearly all teams used to go away for camp, but times have changed and this year, more than half of the teams stayed back home. For dedicated fans, training camps (wherever they're being held) means one thing -- that the NFL's opening kickoff will be here before you know it.
