The Super Bowl champs opened their camp with a lot of missing pieces from their championship squad. How well they replace those players will likely determine how many wins they get this year.
Among the first week notes were:
Youngster Josh Bynes looks to be the new starting middle linebacker for the team.
Bernard Pierce appears ready to take more carries this season.
Vonta Leach resigned with the team, which should make Ray Rice very happy.
Not as much chatter during practices with Ray Lewis now retired.
Kicker Justin Tucker nearly drilled a 71-yard kick. He was successful on several kicks of over 60 yards.
