So Minnesota now has three pretty good quarterbacks, since they recently signed Josh Freeman. The Vikings other two quarterbacks are Matt Cassel and Christian Ponder. I think this was a good signing for the Minnesota Vikings because now they have a decent quarterback to go with an outstanding runningback if they start Josh Freeman. Freeman is far better than Christian Ponder and Matt Cassel. He has a lot of potential and has just not been able to show all of it when he was with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. He has a stronger arm and he can run a little better than the other two quarterbacks.
I think Josh Freeman will easily be the starting quarterback. All he has to do is learn the plays in the playbook. Once he does that, the offense for the Vikings should be stronger and more consistent.
The Vikings might end up trading or releasing one of the other quarterbacks. I think the team that could use the most help is the Jacksonville Jaguars or the Cleveland Browns since Brian Hoyer is now out. Out of the two quarterbacks, I think Matt Cassel will be the guy they trade or release. I can see him helping the Jaguars or the Browns a lot.
