We talked about the Patriots Big Three being the driving force behind the team's dominance but there are a couple other players that will have a major impact on the Super Bowl. Don't sleep on TE Aaron Hernandez or DT Vince Wilfork.
Hernandez is a bonus to the Big Three but he could end up being the one that tips the scales in favor of the Pats. TE Rob Gronkowski had a huge year that overshadowed the solid production that Hernandez put up. 79 receptions for 910 yards and 7 TDs this season is nothing to sneeze at. If Gronkowski is limited at all, Hernandez will be able to pick up the slack.
The Patriots defense didn't play up to par this season but in the AFC Championship the defense had to come up big to cover up a rare stumble by the offense. DT Vince Wilfork was the leader in that effort, clogging up the middle with his 325-pound frame and notching 6 tackles and a sack. He has 2.5 sacks in two games this post season and figures to be a big weapon on Sunday.
