After a close loss in Super Bowl XLVI, Patriots fans are left to wonder what could have been.  There are a million moments that could have gone differently but did one mean the difference between winning and losing?

WR Wes Welker caught seven passes for 60 yards on Sunday but with four minutes left in the game, Welker went up for a pass and could not come up with the catch. It was a play that Welker had made a 1,000 times before but could not make in the waning minutes of the big game. If he makes the catch, the Patriots would have been in scoring position. A TD would have iced the game and even just extending the drive would have left Eli Manning with very little time for a game-winning drive.

TE Rob Gronkowski had an unbelievable regular season with a record-setting 17 TDs. He was one of the Patriots most dangerous weapons but on Super Bowl Sunday, he was hobbled by a left ankle injury. Throughout the game he just didn't have the spring in his step he had in every other game this season. It was very evident in the 4th quarter when Tom Brady heaved a ball deep looking for "Gronk" and the Giants intercepted it. If Gronkowski is at full strength he may have prevented the pick or even been able to fight and make the catch.  He could have changed the game and turned in a better performance than the two catches for 26 yards.

Which would have made the bigger difference?
