On a night when their offense was struggling, the Carolina Panthers defense and special teams combined for a spectacular scoring barrage. The Ravens took an early 7-0 lead on an impressive opening drive, which was capped off by a 1-yard TD run by RB Ray Rice.
Ted Ginn Jr. tied the game 7-7 with an electrifying 74-yard punt return for a TD. At that point, the Panthers defense took over the game, scoring three times, twice on interception returns, and once on a fumble recovery. The Ravens rallied a bit in the second half, but it was ultimately not enough. The Panthers were the victors, 37-24.
