NFL fans have been waiting for Super Bowl XLIV all year and now it is finally here. Super Bowl XLIV: New Orleans Saints vs. Indianapolis Colts- For this game I predict a 38-35 Saints win. Top 5 Reasons: 1. Colts DE Dwight Freeney has a sprained ankle and may have limited playing time in the Super Bowl. This means that Saints's QB Drew Brees has less pressure on him and more time to make a perfect pass to his receivers. 2. The Colts have a poor run game which means they have to rely more on their pass game. This gives Saint's S Darren Sharper more oppurtunities to make interceptions. 3. The Saints have a great offensive line that I think will be able to block the Colts's defensive line. This will give QB Drew Brees more time in the pocket and it will help the Saints's runningbacks gain more yards. 4. I think it will be hard for the Colts's cornerbacks to cover the Saints's 6'4 WR Marques Colston. This will give QB Drew Brees more confidence in throwing the ball to him in coverage. 5. I think that it will be hard for the Colts's defense to stop Reggie Bush. Bush has been consistent in the playoffs scoring a TD in every game as a runningback, receiver, and a dangerous punt returner. Pro Bowl Recap: The AFC beat the NFC in the Pro Bowl 41-34 led by the Houston Texans, AFC Pro Bowl QB Matt Schaub who threw two touchdown passes and was named MVP of the game. I was impressed with NFC WR DeSean Jackson in his first Pro Bowl catching 2 TDs. I would have liked to see the AFC let Chris Johnson run the ball more and see what crazy celebration AFC WR Chad Ochocinco would have done if he caught a touchdown. |
