Campbell 09 Pats

Hello rushers, Cookie Noah here. I would love to give you my opinions of the Falcons and even tell you about my 2 Super Bowl XLIV picks, and the Sleeper Teams of '09. Let's kick off!

The Atlanta Falcons are unstoppable, their record was 2-2 in the preseason. Well, they are stoppable, the Lions and Ravens held them in check. Matt Ryan has potential for 4,000 passing yards, and with Michael Turner in his powerful backfield, he could be the All-Pro running back this year. Mike Peterson and Tony Gonzalez will chip in, and Roddy White will create hassle in the secondary. 11-5 is their record for me, and will be upset awfully by my Super Bowl Champ, The *a**i***o* *e***i**. (almost every vowel)

NFC pick: The Washington Redskins. Yep, that sounds odd. Washington Redskins are Super Bowl XLIV Champs. But Clinton Portis was a candidate for NFL MVP and finished 5th in voting. He has been the most explosive running back over the course of the last 7 Yrs. Pro in the NFL. But he'll need help from the QB Jason Campbell. He is yet to throw 20 TD Passes in his career. This year, Antwaan Randle El and Santana Moss will both catch for 1,200 yards and chip in to get the Skins the Lombardi Trophy. The D of the Redskins is solid like Diamonds (and some plays are like Diamonds, too!) and is air-tight. OLBs Brian Orakpo and Marcus Washington are edge bltizers, with a brick wall in the middle as played by London Fletcher. LaRon Landry will have breakout year, he has yet to shine since his Draft year '08.

AFC pick: The New England Patriots. You don't have to say much when you are talking about Fred Taylor and Laurence Maroney, Tom Brady, Randy Moss, Wes Welker, Veteran Joey Galloway, Ben Watson and Left Tackle Matty Light. Their defense is great. Ty Warren, Richard Seymour, Vince Wilfork and Derrick Burgess should provide the best Pass-Rush in the NFL, each of them should have 10 sacks each.

Surprise Playoff Team of the NFC: The Seattle Seahawks don't sleep. They wait. They waited long enough last year to sign Aaron Curry, Edgerrin James, T.J. Houshmandzadeh and have a healthy Matt Hasselbeck. Julius Jones and Edgerrin James should get 800-900 yards rushing each, and T.J. Duckett the tank should get 50 rushes for about 200 yards. "Housh" and Deion Branch are talented, and TE John Carlson is gonna' break free in '09. Their D is shaky, but they still can get out of some games with a win.

AFC Surprise Playoff Team: You might be thinking this is crazy, but the Steelers will not win the division. Which means Baltimore will. And the AFC wildcard is up for grabs. The Cincinnati Bengals have a premier pass game, Rudi Johnson and Cedric Benson at running back,  andan improved secondary that should help the Bengals go 10-6.

Thanks,
Noah Cookie
