KIPP Raices Academy is the Winner of the Inaugural NFL PLAY 60 Bus Stops with You Contest

KIPP Raices Academy was selected as the winner of the first ever NFL PLAY 60 Bus Stops With You contest. Chosen from nearly 3,000 communities that entered the contest, KIPP Raices Academy was awarded on Monday, June 18 with prizes including $25,000 in exercise and playground equipment, five Kinect for Xbox 360 prize packages and a visit from NFL stars!  


Players including New York Giants RB AHMAD BRADSHAW; Green Bay Packers WR RANDALL COBB;  Oakland Raiders RB DARREN MCFADDEN; Denver Broncos LB VON MILLER; Houston Texans DE JJ WATT; NFL Network analyst WILLIE MCGINEST; and Hall of Fame members MIKE HAYNES, JAMES LOFTON and WARREN MOON rode along on the PLAY 60 bus and got active with the students.


They were joined by Seattle Seahawks Head Coach PETE CARROLL, Arizona Cardinals mascot Big Red, Cleveland Browns mascot Chomps, and cheerleaders from the Oakland Raiders and San Diego Chargers.


The NFL players ran football drills, played catch, jumped rope, hula hooped and helped the students paint their new PLAY 60 space.  Check out all the pictures in our gallery.
