Mile High Miracle - The Best Play of 2012

The greatest play of the 2012 season actually happened on January 12, 2013. In the AFC Divisional Playoff game between the Baltimore Ravens and the Denver Broncos, quarterback Joe Flacco of the Ravens made the play of the year.

Trailing by 7, with under 45 seconds to go, Flacco hit wide reciever Jacoby Jones on an improbbable game tying touchdown. On third down and three from their own 30 yard line, Flacco felt pressure, stepped up in the pocket, and realized Bronco cornerback Tony Carter, had blown his coverage. Jones caught the ball at the 20 yard line and scored.

The Ravens went on to win the game in double overtime, on a 40 yard Justin Tucker field goal. Without this miracle there would be a different Superbowl Champion.
