It was one of the best seasons in NFL history for rookie QBs. With Robert Griffin III and Andrew Luck battling to see who's best, Russell Wilson often the forgotten man. Well, Luck ran out of luck and RG3 got manhandled and sent packing. Russell remains as the last rookie QB standing and the only one to lead his team to a playoff win.
If you think Russell is just leaning on a stellar defense and a beastly running back, you better look again. He threw 26 TDs to just 10 interceptions and had a 100.0 QB rating. The only other QBs to throw for more than 20 TDs and have a rating of 100.0 or more are Peyton Manning (105.8) and Aaron Rodgers (108.0). In the biggest game of his young career, Russell threw for 187 yards with one TD and no interceptions and ran for 67 yards. Most importantly, he won.
So, who really had the best season so far? I think Russell Wilson might have the advantage.
