LaDainian Tomlinson Retires with the Chargers

LaDainian Tomlinson has retired as a member of the Chargers today after 11 seasons in the NFL. Tomlinson came into the league in 2001 and he rushed for over 1,000 yards for his first eight seasons. We celebrate one of the best players ever by the numbers.


2006 The season where LT won the league MVP and set NFL single-season records with 31 total TDs, 28 rushing TDs, and 186 points scored. He also rushed for a career-high 1,815 for his second straight rushing title.
13,684 Number of rushing yards he retires with. That ranks 5th all-time.
145 Number of rushing TDs he has scored. That is second most ever behind only Emmit Smith.
162 Number of total TDs scored by LT. That is the third most in NFL history behind only Jerry Rice and Emmit Smith.
