The competition for starting QB position of the Buffalo Bills is between a rookie, E.J.Manuel, and a veteran looking for another chance to prove his worth, Kevin Kolb.

In 2009, Kevin Kolb had a brilliant stretch with the Eagles while filling in for the injured Donovan McNabb. During that time, he was named the NFL player of the week and seemed to display all the skills needed to be a star in this league. When Kolb was injured himself, Michael Vick ultimately passed him on the depth chart. He played behind a poor offensive line at Arizona, and now looks for a fresh start with the Bills.

Buffalo drafted E.J. Manuel with the 16th pick of this year’s draft, earlier than most scouts anticipated. Known for his athleticism while at Florida State, Manuel's supporters say he is this year's Russell Wilson. His detractors will point to his lack of passing accuracy and say Manuel needs time to develop before starting.
