It has been an exciting week of NFL football! I have to say that the ending to the Patriots-Bills game was the best five minutes of football of the entire week. For those who missed it, here's how it went: With five minutes left, New England is down by 11 and has the ball. They drive down the field and score a touchdown on a pass by Tom Brady to Ben Watson. The two-point conversion try is no good. On the ensuing kickoff, the Patriots' Brandon Meriweather forces the Bills' Leodis McKelvin to fumble. He started about three yards deep in the end zone. The fumble is recovered by the Patriots with 1:56 left. A few plays later, Brady throws another TD pass to Watson to put the Pats up 25 - 24! The two-point conversion was no good again. Buffalo's offense stalled on their next posession and the Patriots stopped the Bills final try, a hook & ladder play, to win the game.
I'll give you my week 2 "Hot Picks".
Every week, I'll pick 1 QB, 1 RB, and 1 WR or TE that I'd want on my fantasy team for the coming week. So, here it goes!
QB: Drew Brees! He torched Detroit's defense for a team record 6 Touchdown passes. With that kind of performance, how can you not have him on your fantasy team! I don't see any signs of him slowing down.
RB: Adrian Peterson! He ran for 180 yards and 3 touchdowns against the Browns. There is no doubt that he is one of the best, if not the best running
back in the NFL right now.
WR/TE: WR Reggie Wayne! He had 10 receptions for 161 yards and a Touchdown. With Marvin Harrison gone, Wayne has proven that he is able to step up and be the number 1 receiver on the Colts.
Well, that's all for my week 2 hot picks. See you next week!
