Unlike the Patriots, a team comprised of stars at their pivotal positions, the Giants are the much more balanced team. That’s not to say the Giants don’t have stars of their own, QB Eli Manning, for instance, just might be playing better then any other player headed into this game! But when it comes to the Giants, the have a ton of talent spread throughout their roster.
It's this balance that gives the Giants the flexibility to adjust to any game. If the Patriots are able to shut down WRs Hakeem Nicks, Victor Cruz and Mario Manningham, the Giants can pound the ball on the ground with RBs Brandon Jacobs and Ahmad Bradshaw. On the defense side the Giants have a dominant front 7 featuring DEs Osi Umenyiora and Jason Pierre-Paul making them equally adept at stopping the run or the pass.
It's that sort of flexibility that wins the Giants games.
