The NFL Combine is a place where college football players can try out for the NFL and show the coaches their skills. The 2011 Combine has several good players. Cam Newton is a promising rookie. He had a broad jump of 10 feet, 6 inches which is impressive. He threw good deep balls but wasn’t always accurate. His vertical jump was 9 feet, 2 inches. He is currently rated as the number 3 quarterback in the group. Nate Solder was a standout this week. He had a vertical jump of 9 feet, 2 inches. He is the top lineman in the draft. Stephen Peaen, a defensive tackle, broke the record for repetitions on the bench press.

 

Here are some of the fastest runners in the 40 yard dash: Torrey Smith 4.43 seconds, Aldrick Robinson 4.45 seconds, Leonard Hankerson 4.43 seconds and Julio Jones 4.39 seconds.
