The Dallas Cowboys (3-3) continue to show their potential as a playoff contender by defeating the rival Washington Redskins (1-4), 31-16.

 

Cowboys QB Tony Romo threw a TD to emerging rookie WR Terrance Williams, while both RBs Joseph Randle and Demarco Murray rushed for TDs.

 

Redskins QB Robert Griffin III showed more burst in his runs but he was not able to exploit the Cowboys secondary for many points.  RB Alfred Morris was one of the bright spots on the night, rushing for 82 yards and a TD.

 
With the win, the Cowboys move into a tie for first place in the NFC East with the Philadelphia Eagles.
