The San Diego Chargers (3-3) didn't need Philip Rivers to throw for 400 yards; they were able to use a team effort to grind out a victory over the Indianapolis Colts (4-2), 19-9.

The Chargers took a 7-3 lead on a perfectly timed TD pass from Rivers to rookie WR Keenan Allen.  Once they had the lead they never looked back as they were able to withstand a late run by the Colts.  Allen had a breakout game with 9 catches for 107 yards in addition to the TD.

The Colts performance was littered with silly penalties and dropped passes, as they looked out of sync all night.  Andrew Luck’s attempt to rally late in fourth quarter was too little too late to prevent the loss.

Are the Chargers for real?
