I would have to say that the team that has surprised me the most is the Cincinnati Bengals. They were so close to being 3-0 right now instead of 2-1. I think Carson Palmer has his game back and the defense has been hanging tough.
The game I am most looking forward to this weekend other than my Chargers playing the Steelers would have to be New York Jets vs. New Orleans Saints. To see an experienced quarterback like Drew Brees going up against the star rookie Mark Sanchez, both teams 3-0. I think the Jet defense is better but also think Drew Brees with his experience and them being at home, Saints win in a close one.
My original Super Bowl pick was San Diego vs Chicago..I have to stay with my home team the Chargers but wavering on the NFC thinking either NY Giants or Saints. It’s really tough for me to decide, maybe after this weekend I will be a little bit closer to a decision.
My hot picks for the week:
Defense: I will have to go with the NY Giants playing at Kansas City. Not much to say except feeling sorry for Matt Cassel.
Quarterback: Think I will take Carson Palmer this weekend over Cleveland. He’s looking good and the receivers are all stepping up.
Running Back: Pierre Thomas of the Saints. He looked really good in the 4th quarter last week. There’s so many talented running backs in the NFL it is really hard on a weekly basis to decide who is going to t=be the #1 guy.
