On Christmas morning, I opened the best gift ever. It was a football ticket to New England Patriots vs. the Buffalo Bills game in Buffalo, NY. I would be going with my Uncle Vic and my dad. I couldn’t believe my biggest wish of going to an NFL game was coming true.
On Sunday, December 28, 2008, I went to my first NFL game of my life. It was the Pats vs. the Bills. I was high up in the crowd. Some people said it was the windiest football game. The winds were 40 mph with gusts of 60 mph. It was freezing but that didn’t matter to me.
The Pats kicked a field goal. Later in the second quarter with 20 seconds left, the Bills tried to boot one in for 3, but time expired before they were able to get a kick off. In the third quarter, the Pats ran a 2 yard touchdown. Later, the Pats had a third down and their QB Matt Cassel punted the football. The Pats fans were shouting “GENIUS” about the play call. The ball was stopped at the one yard line.
The Pats went on to win the game 13-0. I had a great time at my first NFL game!
