Hey, NFLRUSHers! I hope you're doing well since I last wrote. We have some BIG dates and deadlines coming up soon. Free agency begins on March 5th at 12:01 A.M. and the 75th NFL Draft begins on April 22, at 7:30 P.M. Anyway, now that the Scouting Combine is over, we can look at the winners and losers of the Combine. Here we go. . . COMBINE WINNERS: A.J. Jefferson: The former Fresno State defensive back lit up the Combine and made quite a favorable impression on all the scouts there. He had the fastest time in the 20 yard shuttle, the 60 yard shuttle and also did the best in the Vertical Jump, with a height of 44 inches (that's more that 3 ½ feet high!) His draft status has improved considerably. Tim Tebow: Although he did not enter in the bench press or throw for scouts, Tebow finished first among QBs in the Vertical Jump, the 20 yard shuttle, 60 yard shuttle and 3-cone drill, as well as second among QBs in the Broad Jump. In a previous article, I said he needed a good showing. Well, he got it! COMBINE LOSERS: Carlos Dunlap. For all the hype that surrounded him, he really didn't have the type of showing that would be expected of a early first round pick. Plus, his dedication is in question. LeGarrette Blount. After "the punch heard 'round the college football world" in the Boise State game, Blount needs to redeem himself to scouts. He has all the physical tools; the only question now is how he will use them. Well, that's all from my combine report. I'll be back soon with draft predictions! How did your favorite players do!?
