Another week of the free agency period has passed and a few teams have made some big moves to improve their rosters. Here are some of the big moves:
Backup for Garrard: The Jaguars signed former Dolphins QB Cleo Lemon. Lemon will likely be the primary backup QB for David Garrard. Cleo’s mobility and athleticism makes him a good fit for the Jaguars offense.
Seahawks grab some RBs: The Seahawks signed RB T.J. Duckett and RB Julius Jones. T.J. is a big, strong back that works well in short yardage situations. Julius Jones was a part of the Cowboys dual RB system with Marion Barber and now may be in another timeshare with Shaun Alexander.
Booker to the Bears: Former Dolphins WR Marty Booker will be part of the Bears next season. The Bears were short at the WR spot and the addition of this veteran is a good move to try to turn around the passing game.
Berrian in Minnesota: The Vikings signed WR Bernard Berrian in hopes of adding a passing game to their incredible running game from last season.
