Damon is an eleven year old student and a member of the KEC TV News Team. The news program is completely produced by a selected group of 5th and 6th grade students.
Damon's dream was to interview President Barack Obama. Since interviewing President Obama, Damon has been working hard to support his community. Damon was listed as one of the most influential young Africans-Americans of 2009 in the December issue of Essence Magazine.
This school year Damon has continued to be a reporter for KEC TV. Damon is also using his journalism experience as he trains younger students to be the future reporters for KEC TV.
Anthony is a nine year old student who is in the third grade. He is currently training to be a reporter for KEC TV. Damon calls him his protege. This year he created a report about the KEC/Canal Point Elementary band playing with the Pahokee High School band at a football game. He has also interviewed clowns from the Ringling Brothers and Barnum and Bailey Circus. The Pro Bowl is the first major event that Anthony has covered.
