THE PLAYOFFS HAVE STARTED!

ARE YOU READY?!

The playoff have started and the Ravens are in! They took advantage of being one of the "win and in" teams by beating Oakland 21-13. With a win over the Raiders Baltimore sealed a return to the playoffs. They came away with a bitter taste in their mouths last year losing to Pittsburgh 23-14 in the conference championship.

Anyway, that was last year, now it is this year! This week the Ravens will travel to Foxborough to play the Patriots. Baltimore played New England earlier this year and lost a heartbreaker to the Pats 27-21. They were plagued by questionable calls (mostly roughing the passer) and dropped passes (one by Mark Clayton on 4th down with about thirty seconds left).

On the other side of the ball, New England may be dealing with the loss of key receiver Wes Welker, who slipped on the grass in Houston and hurt his knee. If the Ravens iron out the self-inflicted mistakes, they have a good shot to win this one. As a loyal Baltimore fan, I have to say that I think that the Ravens will win a close one 23-20

Now, let's look around the league at the other wild card games...

Jets vs. Bengals! New York handed Cincinnati a solid loss as the Jets went on to beat the Bengals 37-0. It's getting lonely on Revis Island, as Darrelle Revis shut down Chad Ochocinco. Let's see if Ochocinco can get revenge this week as these two teams face each other for the second time on a row. I will take the Jets winning this one 30-7

Eagles vs. Cowboys! They play each other for the second week in a row as well! The game last week was also a shutout, with Dallas winning 24-0. I'm also a bit of an Eagles fan, so it's kind of hard to say this (especially since I don't like the Cowboys) but I say Dallas wins 20-14.

Packers vs. Cardinals! Man, they need help with that schedule! The Ravens vs. Patriots game was the only one where the two teams didn't play each other last week as well! Anyway, we were at the Green Bay vs. Arizona game. The Pack beat the Cards easily, as they won 33-7. Arizona needs to play better this week if they want to end up moving on to the second round of the playoffs. I'm going to call an upset here, with the Cardinals winning 17-14

That's all for my Wild Card Weekend playoff predictions.
