Hey NFL fans! It's KC here with the game of the week and, as usual, my "Hot Picks." There was a lot of action this past week. In fact, there was so much action that I can't pick just one game for my "Game of the Week!" So, my two favorite games were the Lions finally winning a game by defeating the Redskins 19-14, and Brett Favre with his last-second game-winning touchdown pass against the Niners. Now, since we have had a chance to see all the teams play, which one would you say has been off to the most surprising start?
I would have to say the San Francisco 49ers. They are 2-1. Really, I think they should be 3-0, but Brett Favre (who else?) beat them with a TD pass as time expired. They played their hearts out in that game and I think that they had a better game than the Vikings. On the other side, I think the team with the roughest start would be the Tennessee Titans, as they had the best record in the regular season last year but have started 0-3. Maybe they can turn it around this week against the Jacksonville Jaguars. Now for my hot picks:
QB: Peyton Manning! He threw for four touchdowns and only one pick against the defending NFC champion Cardinals. In his past two games, he has had a passer rating of over 130.0!
RB: Maurice Jones-Drew! He had 119 yards and 3 touchdowns against Houston. He's a dynamic back with power and speed.
WR/TE: Vernon Davis! He had seven receptions for ninety-six yards and two touchdowns against a good Minnesota defense. Look for him to give the Rams secondary a hard time.
