In the cold of a mid-December Minnesota night, for the first time in 29 years, the Vikings played a home game, out from under a dome - in the raw and unforgiving northern winter elements. On Monday night, those elements included sub-freezing temperatures, heavy snow, and a dominant Chicago Bears team. The Bears, unfazed by the cold, met and mauled the Minnesota Vikings to win their division.

Brett Favre's surprise return ended quickly and Devin Hester set an NFL record with his 14th career return for a touchdown, leading the Chicago Bears to a 40-14 victory over the Minnesota Vikings on Monday night at snowy TCF Bank Stadium.

The game was played at the University of Minnesota's outdoor stadium after the Metrodome's roof collapsed last weekend.
