
In its first appearance on the field, USA Football’s Junior National Team took on the French in a game that was played with an enormous amount of heart and dedication. Scoring 37 points in the first half and 41 points in the second half in front of more than 10,000 people, the U.S. brought all its preparation and hard work to the game to beat France 78-0. Key players for Team USA included running back James Hall (New Mexico State), who recorded one touchdown and two receptions; running back David Wilson (Virginia Tech), who carried the ball 12 times for a total of 181 yards and four touchdowns; and safety Chris Payne (University of South Carolina), who had eight tackles and one sack.
