General: The National Football League is holding a contest to find several kid team reporters (each, a “Kid Reporter”) for its youth website, www.NFLRush.com (the “Website”). In order to be chosen as a Kid Reporter, during the Contest Period (as defined below) you must submit an essay answering the question: “Which new players on your favorite NFL team will have the best season in 2009?” (the “Essay”). Contestants chosen as Kid Reporters will, from time to time, be required to submit future articles about the NFL or their favorite teams.

Contest Period: The NFLRUSH.com Kids Team Reporter Contest (“Contest”) begins at 12:01 AM ET on June 1, 2009 and ends at 11:59 PM ET on July 1, 2009 (“Contest Period”).

Eligibility: Contest is open to legal residents of the fifty (50) United States and District of Columbia between the ages of 9 and 13 years old at time of entry. No one associated with the National Football League, its member professional football clubs, NFL Ventures, Inc., NFL Ventures, L.P., NFL Enterprises LLC (collectively, the “NFL Entities”) and each of their respective subsidiaries, affiliates, shareholders, officers, directors, agents, representatives and employees, any such individual's immediate family members and those living in their households, whether or not related, are eligible to participate or win. Void where prohibited by law. All applicable federal, state and local laws apply.

How to Enter: Visit the registration page for the Contest at www.NFLRUSH.com/reporters. Provide your 1) first name only, 2) your parent or legal guardian’s email address, 3) your birthday, and 4) your favorite team. You will also need to submit your Essay, which must be written in English and cannot be more than 250 words. The Essay must be completely original and solely your work. You may not copy, plagiarize or base it on anyone else’s work.

In order to submit your Essay, you must enter your Essay in the open space on the registration page. Once you have completed the registration form, you must click the submit button at the bottom of the registration page in order to be entered.

You may only submit one Essay. Multiple Essays will result in disqualification of all Essays submitted by that person. Incomplete entries or Essays exceeding 250 words will not be considered. Submission of your Essay means it becomes the property of the NFL Entities, which will own all right, title and interest in and to the Essay. No entry materials, including the Essay, will be returned.

Judging Process: After the Contest Period, all eligible Essays will be reviewed by personnel from the NFL Entities (the “Judges”). The Judges will score each Essay (on a scale of 1 to 10) on each of the following criteria, each of which will constitute one-third of the Essay’s overall score: (1) proof of knowledge about the NFL and team that is the subject of the Essay; (2) clarity of expression; and (3) interest and appeal. The Judges’ decisions based on these criteria will be subjective and exercised in their complete discretion.

The Judges will choose multiple potential winners, the total number of which will be decided in their complete discretion (“Potential Winners”). Each Potential Winner’s parent/legal guardian will be sent an email notifying them that their child is a Potential Winner. To become a Kid Reporter, the parent/legal guardian must execute and return the NFLRush Article Submission Agreement and Release (“Release”). No Potential Winner will become a Kid Reporter unless and until the Release is executed.

Prize: Each Kid Reporter will be asked to submit a number of articles about the NFL or their favorite team. Articles will be posted to the Website in the NFL Entities’ discretion, with a byline identifying the Kid Reporter by first name and last initial and a photograph of the Kid Reporter.

Miscellaneous: If you fail to comply with any of these Official Rules in any way, you will be disqualified regardless of the score of your Essay. None of the NFL Entities will be responsible for (a) misdirected, delayed, garbled or inaccurate emails, computer failures, problems or errors, interruptions in service, failures or malfunctions of connections, satellite, network, cable, Internet Service Provider (ISP), phones, phone lines or telephone systems, traffic congestion on the internet, technical or mechanical malfunctions, or other malfunctions or errors, whether caused by equipment, programming, human error or otherwise relating to or in connection with Contest, including, but not limited to, any errors that may occur in connection with the administration or functioning of Contest, or the announcement of the prize, or (b) for any injury or damage to contestant’s or any other person's computer relating to or resulting from participation in Contest, or (c) for printing, typographical, mechanical, electronic, network, human or other errors appearing in these Official Rules or any other Contest-related materials. The NFL Entities reserve the right to void any entries of contestants whom they, in their sole discretion, believes have attempted to tamper with, subvert or impair the administration, security, fairness of Contest or otherwise may be in violation of these Official Rules.

Any information collected from children pursuant to Contest shall be used in accordance with the NFLRush.com Privacy Policy, as posted on www.NFLrush.com. No transfer, assignment, cash redemption, or substitution of any prize (or any portion thereof) is permitted except by the NFL Entities. By participating, you and your parent or legal guardian agree to abide by these Official Rules and the decisions of the NFL Entities, which shall be final and binding. If (a) you do not comply with these Official Rules, or (b) the NFL Entities cannot contact a Potential Winner's parent or legal guardian within a reasonable time period, the NFL Entities at their discretion and time permitting, may disqualify a Potential Winner and award a prize to the runner-up.

By entering, you and your parents/legal guardian agree the NFL Entities shall have no liability and will be held harmless by contestant and his/her parent/legal guardian for any claim, action, liability, loss, injury or damage to any NFL Entity, contestant or any other person or entity, including, but not limited to, claims for infringement or for damage to intangible, personal or real property, due, in whole or in part, directly or indirectly, by reason of the publication of the Essay or any article, the acceptance, possession, use or misuse of any prize or any contestant’s participation in Contest. The NFL Entities reserve the right, in their sole discretion, to modify, suspend, and/or terminate Contest should virus, bugs, non-authorized human intervention or other causes, including, but not limited to, acts or threats of terrorism, war, strikes, and/or acts of God, corrupt or impair the administration, security, fairness or proper play of each Contest and, in the case of termination, at its discretion, select the winner from all eligible non-suspect entries received prior to the event requiring such termination using the judging procedure outlined above.
