They need to step it up on offense and defense, or they will have to rely on the Jets to lose and hope for the best.
The Bills got off to a fast and undefeated start in the 2011-2012 season, but losing games to the Giants, Jets, and Bengals didn’t help in any way. I was so surprised when the Bills were 4-0, but since then they are 1-3 and have played really poorly.
In Week 5, Rookie QB Andy Dalton out played Ryan Fitzpatrick and handed the Bills their first loss. And it’s all been downhill since.
Lately, the Bill’s linemen and linebackers have been slow to the ball. Their secondary has been fast and effective, but it has not been enough to keep them in close games or cause key turnovers to help spark the offense.
On a positive note cornerback Drayton Florence has really been a stand out performer this year, and has come up with a few big interceptions. Also, safety Bryan Scott has had a large number of key picks and big plays, but two players isn’t a defensive team. They need to step it up on offense and defense, or they will have to rely on the Jets to lose and hope for the best.
If the Bills only hope is to rely on a preseason Super Bowl contender than they will have no chance of a playoff appearance. The Bills can definitely improve in a lot of areas, but it may be too late for Buffalo.
