What the Heck Is a Combine?

It's either a machine that harvests grain crops or it's where over 300 top college footballs players will run, jump and perform other physical and mental tasks in front of scouts from every NFL team.

The NFL Scouting Combine is the first stop on the path to the 2014 NFL Draft, and will be held at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis on February 22-25th.

Essentially, these NFL-hopefuls will be Play-ing 60: doing the 40-yard dash, seeing how high they can jump, showing off how much they can bench, and other fun drills.

It's a good place for you to scout for your fantasy football team too!  If you see someone looking good, you can play them on your fantasy football team before anyone else does...just like Zac Stacy for the Rams this year.

In fact, here are three running backs to keep an eye on:

Antonio Andrews, Western Kentucky

Jerick McKinnon, Georgia Southern

Terrance West, Towson

NFL Scouting Combine Invitee List Fun Facts:

* The two schools with the most players invited to the combine are Alabama (12) and LSU (11).

* Zero QBs from the Big Ten, Big 12 and Pac-12 were invited.  Huh?

* Kansas is the only school from one of the five major conferences (ACC, Big Ten, Big 12, Pac-12 and SEC) without a single participant.

Go on the clock February 22nd-25th exclusively on NFL Network.
