Geno Smith led the New York Jets (4-3) to a 30-27 overtime thriller upset win over the New England Patriots (5-2).
In a surprising outcome it was the rookie Smith, (1 TD passing and 1 TD rushing) outplaying the veteran, Tom Brady (0 TDs and 1 pick-six INT). In addition to scoring a TD, the Jet’s D sacked Brady 4 times and held the Patriots to under 100 yards rushing.
On the positive side the Patriots welcomed back TE Rob Gronkowski to the starting line-up. Gronk finished the game with 8 catches and 114 yards receiving.
