The 2014 OTAs Begin!
What in the world are OTAs?
Openly Tropical Avocados? Overly Tremendous Aardvarks? Oddly Ticklish Alligators?

No, silly, OTAs are Organized Team Activities. That's a fancy way to say "practice."

These voluntary offseason practice sessions focus primarily on techniques, installing new playbook schemes, and strength and conditioning. They also serve as a transition period for rookies.

In the NFC, the Bears, Cowboys, Eagles, Falcons, 49ers, Panthers, Redskins, Saints and Seahawks will gather for the voluntary, noncontact sessions.

In the AFC, the Bengals, Chargers, Chiefs, Colts, Dolphins, Jaguars, Jets, Patriots, Raiders, Steelers, Texans and Titans will do the same.

Another six teams -- the Bills, Broncos, Giants, Packers, Ravens and Vikings -- open workouts Wednesday.

The St. Louis Rams will begin their OTAs on June 3.

What's the most important part of OTAs?
